I believe CAA represents Cholowsky and Emerson

Yep.....and by the time that 6+ years are up, JR will likely no longer be owner of the team. Even if he's still hanging on at age 96 or 97, the waiting-in-the-wings owner isn't going to let a star player walk just because he has Boras as an agent. He asked for money way above the slotted amount, so much so that if Sox had succumbed, they would have forfeited their first rounder the next year. Boras is no friend to the White Sox. I'm delighted Roch signed elsewhere.

The old JR won't deal with Scott Boras clients concern isn't going to be a factor for anyone drafted in 2026.

He rarely considers contract extensions and almost always takes his clients to free agency. Edited 1 hour ago by WhiteSox2023

Plus, I don’t think you draft a guy wondering if you’re going to be able to extend him almost a decade later or not. 1

It's not really a concern that JR avoids Boras, he avoids the big money. And Boras is big money.

Seriously, we are talking about something like a decade from from now. Odds are Jerry is fertilizer and the Ishbia era is well under way, making this all moot.
