The Chandler, AZ. native didn’t put together his best performance at the plate in Obama in 2025, going 1-12 (.083) across three games at the MCWS. However, he flashed the leather on numerous occasions.

Tim Elko was one of those punted picks. It's just the wrong way to look at the draft. I always put the players in order by signing bonus. Many players taken in rounds 11-20 are more highly regarded th

I reached out to David Kaplan. He told me that he "saw it mentioned somewhere". I saw it earlier this week too. My interpretation (and I've reached out to some national draft people) is that it's a google AI mistake conflating Cholowsky and Tyler Bell. It would be a massive story if Cholowsky needed a surgery.

Thanks. That could be an explanation sure. And bad on Kap if so. Anyway, speaking of our overlords:

“ - Roch Cholowsky (often spelled Cholowsky), the star UCLA shortstop and top prospect for the upcoming MLB Draft, is indeed projected to undergo a minor offseason procedure. As David Kaplan mentioned on Chicago sports radio this morning, the upcoming procedure is considered routine maintenance and is not expected to impact his draft stock or long-term development”

What an unprofessional fucking hack he is. He reported it like the blowhard he is because he " saw it somewhere" ...?

Kap is a complete mouthbreather

I'm sure the King family did not appreciate him reporting about Stacey falling at his house.

AI

Artificial Intelligence is already making life worse for us peddling humans. 😆

Considering that about 15 years ago I could get a dozen clients in a week and now I haven’t been able to get a single job for about 18 months… f*** AI.

I’m not sore. Not at all.

That really sucks. What type of work do you do?

I had an internet development / marketing communications company that made near 7 figures annually. Had to step away from it for a nasty custody battle in 2015 and then had another huge bump when covid hit.

Since then I’ve never been able to even come close to making a living wage again.

Lately I’ve been integrating my previous skills with the latest technologies and am repositioning myself to help companies integrate AI and automations into the businesses.

Slow going so far but it’s tough when you’re starting in the negative as a mid 40 something year old single father.

Last time I started my former company, I had 7 days a week to grind out 12 to 15 hour days and I also had about 15k saved up to manage marketing campaigns to drive eyeballs.

Outside of using AI to do his HS homework, my 16 year old son has been using AI to build websites, create custom Garry’s Mod gaming servers, and other stuff.

I just built him a nice server and put together a UGREEN NAS for him to mess around with.

I originally thought Kap was just a biased Cubbie loving clown like Bruce LeVineLine.

This pass offseason, I thought he might actually be fair and impartial when I saw him fluffing Getz up in an interview with Ryan McGuffey.

But recently, I saw the video below of Kap trying to say that Dansby Swanson was the best SS in town over Montgomery and I realized I gave him too much credit.

Yea man - it’s nuts that what used to be the most in demand and one of the highest paying skills, is now able to be replicated with basic knowledge of the English language. 😆

Another well respected internet engineer in the field calculated the value of software development based on token costs of frontier models and it works out to $10.62 an hour.

At the highest point of my career, I was pulling in about $1,600 an hour on autopilot away from the keyboard. Now I can’t make half of what someone makes flipping burgers at our local In-n-Out. 😆

Yes, my company is replacing a lot of our software developers due to AI. My company built their own custom AI platform based on ChatGPT and we all have CoPilot in our computers. Like every other company, they are pushing it hard. They want everyone to get 10% more efficient in the upcoming year due to AI.

The insane thing is that 10% is extremely modest. There are use cases where these models can put out production level code in minutes that would have taken weeks in decades past.

I miss the days where all we had to do was buy something like “baseball.com” for $12 and sit on it for ten years to make 6 to 7 figures. 😆

Being an internet nerd as a young preteen in the early 90s was gold and I didn’t even realize it until another decade passed by. 😆😆

Now to hit a 6 or 7 figure deal you have to not only build out an app but you also have to grind away at generating a community with hundreds of thousands of followers across multiple channels. 🤦🏻‍♂️😆

Famous Kap's (which shows how unprofessional he is)

Appearing on set in a specially made Cubs jersey with the name Pujois on the back

Saying the next Cubs manager would be Joe Girardi

Saying the Cubs would not be outbid for Masahiro Tanaka

Guy is an idiot.

He also thought the Dodgers signing Ohtani for that much was a bad move. Seemed to work out for them just fine.

Kap is trying to get on the Sox band wagon....screw him and the horse he is trying to ride in on

Don't slander journalists by calling Kaplan one. He's an entertainer who throws crap against the wall for clicks. He's the Ron883 of Chicago sports television.

I rarely find him entertaining, mostly annoying. Kinda like Tom Dreeson.

The guys who can pull this off have either an edge to them that attracts you to them, some biting wit that keeps them relevant, or some kind of insights that you don't hear from everyone else. Kaplan has none of those.

Ouch. Off-road to get Dreeson.

Man that really sucks “I saw it somewhere” passes snuff for news
