  • We knew they would be bad but at least moving forward in the right direction. This is a regression.

Jerry and Getz should be embarrassed by this shitshow. I’m sure they aren’t because they don’t care about Sox fans, but these two clowns deserve another 100+ loss season.

Some here were cocksure that Acuna would be the CFer this season, I guess by default. . Dude lacks basic outfield skills...same as Baldwin. Not sure why Acuna's lack of arm strength was not noted by Venable and the coaches during ST. Acuna is a butcher on defense and is not good enough to displace any player on the roster, unless he can possibly pitch. I do not enjoy being so negative about The Sox but it's time for a few heads to roll.

Just saw the score and the box score breakdown, taking a quick break from home improvement work.

At this point and I know it's early this franchise looks no closer to respectability and Getz is starting his third full season in charge.

The pitching staff is in shambles and that impacts so much as to whether or not there is real improvement in the standings.

To me the jury is out on Smith, it's possible last year was a fluke nothing more. He was a rule 5 guy for a reason and the Brewers don't make too many of those mistakes.

With Toronto coming in they could very well start 1-8 or 2-7.

I think the White Sox Park have loose rims at home , so the Sox should benefit when we get some home cooking this weekend............................................

I think it was more simply hoping Acuna would be the guy, considering we were trading away Robert for a utility guy that has played CF and didn’t have any other CF replacement. Just like we were also hoping that his Venezuelan league HR power was legitimate.

By the way, amazing use of “cock sure”. 👍🏻

This was the period of time where we were supposed to be finding other teams overlooked players, and developing our own. I have said for a couple of years with the state of this franchise that 2030 was a realistic timeline for competing again. We haven't really done much to push that timeline forward. so that still looks pretty secure.

-We needed our original Big 3 pitchers to turn into 2 frontline starters. So far we have one reliever, and 2 guys who have never been over 75ish innings in a season.

-We needed all of these changes to rescue some of the guys from previous years. That hasn't happened. Guys who were uninspiring, have stayed uninspiring

-We needed some scrapheap luck. Primarily we got Smith and Vasil. Smith had a great 25, but all of the sudden is looking pretty shakey. Vasil is probably gone until the middle of 27. By the time he gets back, he will be approaching his arb years. The scrapheap's we had short term success with, we haven't been able to turn into the second generation of players in the flip deals.

-We needed to turn the vets we did have left into valuable pieces going forward ala Rick Hahn. The Cease trade was a disaster. The Robert trade isn't looking great, and we now pretty much have to turn the Crochet trade into Montgomery being an all-star level player to call it a win.

-Looking forward some of the position draft picks look promising, but are now starting to hit the mid to high majors and we will start to learn what they are made of in the next year.

-We need to hit a grand slam with this draft. The #1 pick needs to be a star going forward. We need to get premium position players in this draft as well with as many picks as he have set up early, and the savings sure to come from the #1 pick. It'd be really nice to figure out a way to add another comp pick in this draft as well.

I still like my Team2030 prediction. It wasn't too long ago people were saying we could make it by 2027 or 2028.

I think their rims may actually be too tight, because as Hawk would say, “you couldn’t pull a greased tee outta their behinds with a pair of pliers” the way they are playing.

The General Manager did not know what side of the plate he hit from. And some didnt think that was a big deal.....as for your curiosity about overlooking a lack of arm strength.

Don't let lack of talent confuse lack of hustle. Sometimes they can look like the same thing, though neither is ideal.

They're going to break their own record for losses, what a disaster!

Imagine there are plenty of Sox fans with flaming derrieres, blue balls, busted balls, passed balls, pass balls, past balls, whatever, in part because of the apparent lack of energy or attention to detail by some of our players/pitchers, the stoic duck billed Manager peering out of the dugout, and that clip of Getz squirming uncomfortably like he had hemorrhoids or something up in some box seat in Milwaukee.

Against Toronto?

We never seem to play well against the Blue Jays and Orioles, for whatever reason.

I am working on giving my tickets to the Opener away to some friends since we can't go Friday. I consider it as a sunken cost for being a loyal Sox fan for a few decades. I imagine that there will be a lot of empty seats for the delayed Opener on Friday. Another shot in the nuts.

Unless the forecast has rain on Friday night. I was wondering why they didn’t try to move the game to Friday night for a bigger crowd. I think MLB teams can actually do this.

You seem pretty fixated on balls. You good?

I'm just sick of seeing the same s%*# game after game, year after year.

Somehow we turnover entire rosters time and time again, but still end up with the same play.

seems like a statement better fitted to the pitching staff

5 losses so far +95 losses on the horizon=100 loss season

UGH!! Im leaving town. Better yet I'm leaving the country. I can't stand it anymore!
