1 hour ago1 hr 3rd time this year the Sox trailed going into the 7th inning or later and won.But they never make it easy do they? When you have a bad bullpen and mediocre fielding/defense that is what you get. Also Kay isn't doing himself any favors for future employment.
1 hour ago1 hr Needed this one with Soriano on deck, he's been unhittable and goes deep enough into games to not guarantee a good chance against the Angels' weak pen like they capitalized on tonight.Nice to get win #12 on April 28th, after it came on May 11th in both 2024 and 2025.Those teams diverged by 19 wins in their final records, and this year's got even longer to go.

Depending on how Shane Smith and Tanner McDougal do in the next few outings, Kay may be looking at a bullpen role. Bryan Hudson has certainly come around.
1 hour ago1 hr And just to clarify, Polak, in Polish, is Polish man. Polka is Polish woman. Jesus, I want some sausage, and Tyskie. In case anybody cares, I made gołąbki tonight. Golabki (Stuffed Cabbage Rolls) Recipe I used choriso as one of my meats. Great freakin win. Take the series tomorrow. Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by WestEddy

1 hour ago1 hr Decent defense all around , especially Tristan Peters, but several balls just beyond the reach of Antonacci, Vargas, and Montgomery. A lot of luck in this game for both sides but HRs erased another terrible start by Kay and a shaky bullpen. If/when Teel comes back, our line-up is gonna hit a lot of 'em. Beautiful doggers out there tonight. Thank you to all the Sox fans who brought their little pals out.

I have a feeling next one up is going to settle like Noah Schultz. He could quickly be a LOOGY.

In 11⅔ innings, he has allowed eight runs and eight hits with six walks and 15 strikeouts. He also has hit five batters."Story said the Sox are saying they have no timetable for Smith's return.

He looked like a star after his 2024 ROY season but has started this year season a 6+ ERA. I bet Smith is still an MLB caliber pitcher but I've generally preferred Burke's potential as a top of a rotation arm. If all goes well with Schultz, Smith and McDougal (and eventually Oppor) Smith is redundant anyway.

In his 5 seasons in the MLB before he went to Japan, he earned just over $2 million total. I’m not sure what he earned in his 2 seasons in Japan but Getz gave him $12 million guaranteed over the next 2 seasons. Kay will be nearing 33 years old when he is a free agent again. Getz pretty much set him up for life with this contract. Even if he never pitches for another team after the White Sox, around $15 million in total career earnings for a bad pitcher is pretty amazing. Edited 2 minutes ago2 min by WhiteSox2023
