Yoan Moncada has never been motivated in his life.

They sure don't have that losing streak monkey on their backs anymore.

2/3 is nice but really feels like we beat ourselves on this one with all the miscues

Not with that bullpen.

Most would say Hill got lucky.

Most would know that SD starting pitcher was more lucky.

Can Acuna be sent to the minors to work on his swing/ bat?

He hit .234 last year. Looking at his at bats/ swings, .234 doesn’t seem possible.

They'd have to put him through waivers. That could be a no-brainer, as it would be flukey for a team to grab him up, but I'm not sure where they are on the 40-man. Who replaces him? Gonzo?

Separates good and average to below average teams

especially in front of sellout road crowds

players try to do things they're not capable of or lose focus like Kelenic at first base

Edited by caulfield12

When Mason Miller throws his slider in the "waste" zone, meaning they miss the zone by over a foot, hitters still swing over 50% of the time. Might be the nastiest pitch in baseball.

Bullpen sucks in 8th inning like forever

There was definitely a path to victory. They didn't even have to play a perfect game. The Padres should have won two of three.

White Sox had Canning on the ropes twice and let him off with boneheaded moves on the bases.

I have to go after you on this song choice. With the exception of Beatles “Yellow Submarine”, this might be the worst song ever by a great group.

Should doesn't matter when a team is scuffling like SD the past week.

Same goes for Dodgers too.

Angels will be more fired up this time around and at home

Maybe, but they still have the same questionable bullpen.

Will be curious to see which game they rest Mune for.

How dare you.

Vile indeed.

I chose this version over the original. There's an entire genre of analytical YouTube videos on the era of teen car crash songs.

That first inning should have really produced something. Kelenic getting picked off in the 4th was pretty bad.

Which song are you defending?

Okay, I have to admit. That makes sense. The metaphor escaped me.

I hope it's the day game, would be dumb to have him play a night into day game if you're already planning on giving him rest. I guess they could rest him in game 2. maybe they'll plan it based on if the Sox can win another series

Didn't really feel like Venable cared about winning this game.

Why didn't Luisangel just bat from the other side? :)

I’m putting the over / under of “Should have pinch hit Hayes” mentions at 12.

Holy hell, do I ever agree with this....stupidass Last Kiss is the worst thing PJ put out, and damn if it didn't have to get big.

I like the fight of the team . They played a good Padres team well. But we need a set lineup for consistency.
