It didn't look terrible. I remember the Madrigal and Robert hamstring tears and they fell down like they got shot. Hopefully it's a grade 1 strain and he's day to day or goes on the 10 day IL to be cautious.

Definitely a few weeks if it's a grade 1, which finally watching it, that's what it looks like. There is no need to risk him. We need him down the stretch.

I honestly think they'll be ok. It always hurts to lose your best bat, but this team has a never give up mentality and continue to amaze me the way the figure out how to win games. Might be a good test for them.

Starting June 5th, they already have a gauntlet of a two week test coming — if they have to trudge through it without Mune, boy… that is really going to speak volumes about this team.

Imagine if they play those teams, down their MVP, and come away with a .500 or better clip during that timeframe.

It would announce to the world that the Chicago fucking White Sox are for real!

I believe in them too.

he's also on pace to play more games then he's ever played in his career. A few weeks off might be good for him.

Agreed, if they try to rush him back it could lead to a worse hamstring injury or another injury.

Mune will have an MRI tomorrow and I imagine a more specific timeline will follow

I think the the gravity of the loss of this star player during the middle of the season has not set in quite yet for some fans. I sure the hope that it is only Grade 1, but maybe worse based on Mune's facial expression of pain.

The Babe Ruth of Japan will take some time off and heal up. In the meantime, the Babe Ruth of AAA will bring his 19 homers and 1.004 OPS up north to lend a helping hand.

Gonzalez can play all 4 infield positions and DH if needed. I hope he repeats what Colson Montgomery did last year when he was called up, RAKE!!!

This isn't your Pedro Grifol White Sox

He would be eligible to come off the IL in time for the Braves, Dodgers and Yankees series. Would miss the Phillies series. Probably going to miss more time though, but hope not.

Yea, it is hard to imagine playing the Dodgers and Yankees without Mune in there but it is what it is. Meanwhile two months of the season and counting without Teel - reports are that he is running..

play a man down for 7-8 days and see where he's at, they should be fine vs the tigers and twins

Didn't they already announce the J.Gonzalez call up?

He ran out to celebrate the game winner.

Nice, I didn’t catch this… heard he was “first at the door to congratulate them in the clubhouse”.

Lets just hope it's a 10-20 day type injury, it didn't look took bad but you never know with hamstrings.

Let's just hope he doesn't have the same rehab relapse that seems to be going around in Charlotte

Go f*** right off boy. We had our fit to be cut starting pitcher going against arguably their guy with the best stuff.

Take your bullshit Debbie Downer horseshit out of this thread and if you keep it up then you’re headed straight to The Hall of Fame List.

Clear?

White Sox reliever Jordan Leasure will be shut down for at least eight weeks - Chicago Sun-Times

The White Sox bullpen shuffle continued Friday with right-hander Jordan Leasure going on the 15-day injured list with a flexor strain in his right forearm. In a corresponding move, the South Siders recalled lefty Tyler Gilbert from Triple-A Charlotte.

Leasure, in his third major league season, will be shut down for eight to 10 weeks, manager Will Venable said.

I'm finally feeling like a Sox fan again. That was a weird stretch of hope and optimism.

Same as Teel. Schultz hurt, Colsons back seems to be a little issue. Why can't we have nice things?

Japanese hamstrings heal at twice the speed, right? Right?
