Didn't they already announce the J.Gonzalez call up?

I was talking about keeping him off the IL but they already announced he's on the 10 day so it's moot

Same as Teel. Schultz hurt, Colsons back seems to be a little issue. Why can't we have nice things?

Because JR still owns the club.

They been derailing Sox seasons for a lot longer than this year. Although a better comp would be 'soft tissue' injuries.

Grade 2 is horrible news. Given the Sox history of dealing with these, we may not see him until August.

They probably need to swap out Nishida for Hays to get more offense back while Mune is out. Maybe even call up Braden Montgomery.

Hays is having his own injury issues last I saw, who knows when he'll even be healthy enough to play.

Same thing as Teel, hopefully he’s back soon and it’s a damn shame that we lost Brooks Baldwin for the year, his power could help right now.

He was back in the lineup last night and played left

I go back a long way, IIRC that injury was almost unheard of in the 50s and 60s. I’m sure there were more but the first guy I remember having hamstring issues with the Sox was Chet Lemon around 1976.

Well, back then, guys sat out with "consumption", or "the bends".

Well that's just a long enough stretch for Gonzalez to cement himself as a guy who will be with the team even after Mune returns. Braden and Teel could also be waiting in the dugout to Meet & Greet Mune.

Mune could have a good half dozen new hand-shake routines to learn by then.
