Sandlin lost his velo this time.

Way too late pulling him.

GaTech coach taking over Sox here.

2 batters too late taking him out . Counting the last start that's like 6 times through the order.

I get that you don't want to start a series needing 5 guys out of the pen, but Sandlin was gassed.

If he starts that inning, you need someone ready sooner.

Didn’t love that decision but he is going to have to be a big part of this so I get him starting the inning. Two batters too late though.

He is? I think he becomes a reliever in a month

I never get the DFA Benintendi people. With Mune, he’s one of their top 4 or 5 bats.

Even more important now without Mune.

And don’t come back tell me his fwar is a negative. If that’s so, it’s a statement about fwar being clearly flawed.

Do you ever look at stats or even understand them? Even his old school baseball stats are not good. He’s horrible production for what he is paid.

Venable pushing it for no reason

They have repeatedly said they view him as a starter

I would love to hear the reasoning. Sandlin hasn’t been above 80 pitches all year. He had just been bludgeoned in the 4th. Absolutely makes no f***ing sense. I was shocked when I saw him still in the game.

Yeah of course you do.

I’ll take a three run deficit at this point

Sure, like Taylor )

If they come back healthy, it’s Martin, Burke, Kay, Schultz and one of the Smith’s

Hang this L on Venable, if it is one.

Beni's got negative WAR mostly because his bat doesn't really play at DH. Other full time DHs are so much better.

Twins are just punishing non-fastballs

BABIP to death now, oh well, just a puzzling decision, something the prior managers would have tried.

His command isn’t good. He has a good arm but I think he will be more effective as a late inning guy.

He seems to have no qualms with using starters longer than they should be in. He famously hung Kay out to dry in April during a poor start.

And the Sandlin bandwagon didn't last all that long...

Venable never should have let him go out there again. Or pulled after first batter.

It was his second start against a team that he already faced.

Schultz will be back by then?

Yes, I think he’s back in a few weeks…or until he has a Sox setback )
