Man, you wonder if he pans out, but his trajectory has tracked as a player type who can. A young OUTFIELDER from the minors for the White Sox! Not sure this is allowed.

  • How many more times does @ron883 have to be vindicated? First with the prediction of Sam Antonacci's (The Chairman of the Board's) greatness. Now the Braden Montgomery call up. I'm sure there's more I

  • So cool, I befriended one of his family members before the draft and it’s the nicest family ever.

Going to the game tonight and I hope Braden is in the lineup. Here's hoping he can help the team get into the 2026 playoffs. i can't find anything about Joe Rock. Is he a starter or relief pitcher?

Relief pitcher they converted to a SP in Charlotte. He got 4 starts but pitched only 9 innings giving up 10H, 4 earned runs, 4 BB, 13 K.

With all that in mind maybe he pitches in relief for the Sox. He did good in a very small 7.2 relief innings with the Rays last year.

I don't mean to get ahead of myself, but it appears we've found our all-star, gold glove RFer for the future.

...And proves the old adage, a good man is hard to find, but a hard man is good to find.

I bet Stone Pony is still making residuals off of his Playgirl pictorial in 1983.

Not for me.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

To each, his own

Some of us here opined that it was too early to bring up Braden for a number of reasons (like his tendency to hit ground balls). Oh did he prove that wrong with a single, two doubles and a memorable walk-off home run. Ron was right but beyond that, let's not understate or minimize the significance of this. For those of us that recall, the White Sox have been seeking a solid RFer with hitting prowess and defensive skills to play RF....since Jermaine Dye. Now we finally got our guy. Braden is a switch hitter who can hit from both sides with power, including to the opposite fields. This kid is a beast in the positive sense of the word and adds to an already surprisingly good offense.

This reminds me of the time Yermin Mercedes won the AL MVP with one surprisingly solid month, so much so that a local deli sandwich was named after him...

Let's see how he holds up for 6-8 weeks of everyday at-bats first before expectations reach unrealistic proportions.

We all remember the first four months of Gordon Beckham as well. Of course, Braden is a much more dynamic type of player with an effervescent personality...but you just never know.
