WTF. Did you see their June schedule by chance?

  • I know Dominguez didn't pitch today or yesterday, but damn that is an epic fail to sign a guy to be your closer and he isn't used at any point in a pretty important game. Just damn.

They have to, if they win 2 it will be great but will be tough. One thing is they don’t quit so there’s that.

Venable said last week to the papers that Siranthony was told he was going to be used in less stressful situations.

Well since we are in a fight for a playoff spot I guess we won’t be seeing much of him unless we have huge leads.

I don't know about anybody else but watching the game, I just had the feeling it was gonna play out the way it did.

I hate to say this but I went to bed after the top of 8th because I also had that feeling and I didn’t want to watch a walk off by the Guards.

I hope they prove me wrong but I cant help but feel this is the start of the Sox coming back to earth. They just don't have the pitching to contend through 162 games. If were honest none of us had this team contending this year. With the right additions the window for winning starts next year.

Taylor is usually great; but he's also had about the same number of outings where he's given up runs as Dominguez has. (he got hit in several June outings).
Tonight our major division rival beat beat our pitching. They beat our best starter, and, 2 of our best relievers. Thus, not a finished product.

Our best pitcher having a bad night doesn’t mean unfinished product. If it was Fedde or Kay, then it would be a bad story. This is baseball, dudes have bad nights.

Yeah so I was on one last night. I was just so frustrated because we literally had no business winning that game and we could’ve stolen one where our starter didn’t even make it through 4.

If this team has been anything, it’s resilient, so let’s see what they’ve got tonight.

I'm still pissed lol

BigHurt, I'm sure the guys have flushed that one, and are ready to fight hard this evening. Plenty of mistakes contributed to that loss, yet plenty of good things happened too. If nothing else, there are a lot of Sox players thinking, "I will learn from that, and improve going forward." Not such a horrible thing (although a win would've been so nice)!

One play stumped me, Did Meidroth tag up and try to make 3rd on his own or did the coach give him the OK sign. Either way it was dumb and hope someone learned from it.

I get that feeling. Us Sox fans are used to that. But this team has shown time and again that they aren’t the same Sox teams of the past. They lose a tough one or two and we and we all expect that to be the downfall and then they surprise everyone and start winning again.

Yeah, Mighty Mite, I couldn't get a very good read on whether the coach green-lighted Chase there or not. But I'm sure some learning took place.

Easy to have that feeling when you run into three outs on the bases, fail to bring RISP with no outs, and walk the universe… so yes, I’m sure you weren’t alone.

This team is going to be frustrating in its immaturity at times… but it’s going to ( hopefully ) learn rapidly and is also why they’re so exciting on other days.

Go get em today, go for the series… hope for at worse a split. Get Mune back… draft strong… and hopefully get some arms before the deadline.
