2 hours ago2 hr This game sucked from start to finish. And I’m not sure why you guys are talking about Thorpe like he’s dead. Maybe he sucks maybe he doesn’t. We don’t know yet.

Davis Martin throws a tad harder. There's barely any pitchers who are great at that velocity. It was just a terrible trade. No need to sugarcoat it.Of course. You're right. But again, Thorpe was a top 40 prospect. There is no disputing that. I think it was fairly well agreed upon that he got the mandate to trade Cease in spring training, and there was probably one deal on the table. Getz got what he could.
2 hours ago2 hr This team has been good at shrugging off bad losses....get em the next 2 days and win the series.
2 hours ago2 hr Boston is red hot right now, these next two games won't be easy.Regarding Schultz, personally I think he needs to spend a lot more time in the minors learning his craft but I understand why the Sox brought him up.The starting pitching situation they are in is not good and they were hoping he could help.Maybe in three weeks after the trade deadline he's sent back down but right now he's very inconsistent from game to game and when you are in a divisional race like with Dominguez, how much rope can you afford to give him?
2 hours ago2 hr I can't help but wonder if NS days are numbered on this team. He has control issues. They can't keep going with him if he can't get the ball over the plate.

The Sox already don't really have a fifth starter there's no way they could survive without a fourth starter who at least goes out there every time. Like I posted Schultz need to go back down but then what?

He's a better option than Schultz currently IMO. Let's see how Sandlin looks when he gets a longer leash. He's definitely got the stuff to be good. Needs to improve his command. The question is can Getz get it done? (And would JR allow it?)

I've been waiting for them to bring them back so I can buy one, but they haven't for a while. I remember one of the Abreu years they brought them back. It was about 8 years ago or so? It’s a little surprising they haven’t made them more available based on how popular it seemed to be. Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by Lukakke Appling
