I tend to give guys a long runway before making a decision on them but it is baffling to me that Romo has had as much playing time as he has had this year. They either hate Lee or think he's going to somehow repeat his early season power binge again.Definitely not his defense/framing/AS deision making.
10 hours ago10 hr At this point, even Drew Romo has to be wondering how Drew Romo is still on the big league squad.

He will not catch for them at the major league level for the White Sox unless he absolutely has to.

10 hours ago10 hr 9 hits in not even 4 innings of work.It seems to either be: 1) Be wild with control but get both walks and strikeouts or 2) Try to be fine with control, and give up 187 hits.

Almost all fastballs. Went 3-4 against him

10 hours ago10 hr Schultz had a 2.35 ERA and 0.78 WHIP in Charlotte with 34K in 23 inningsI'm not sure what benchmarks you would use for him improving down there

10 hours ago10 hr Somehow Romo's defense grades out as not too bad. Sox strategy with challenges is basically: make sure you use them and preferably the catchers should be using them. Sox as a team grade out as benefiting from challenges more than average and that's basically due to volume. Individually, the two primary catchers grade badly at challenges because they are so aggressive and miss a lot. But ultimately you get no benefit from keeping your challenges in your pocket. So the Sox are like high-volume chucker in basketball. Low accuracy, but a lot of buckets.
