Dart got burned on a bad pitch to Jones in the first, but otherwise did a hell of a job keeping the team in the game for the next 5 innings. The pen held the Yankees to just 1 Manfred run for the rest of the game, so that's a combined 11 innings with 0 ER.

Special shoutout to Taylor for his 7 outs, and Hicks for his impressive show of testicular fortitude and continued dominance since coming off the IL. No flipping clue who pitches tomorrow, but that's a tomorrow problem.

CLE won, MIN and DET lost. The Detroit loss was especially brutal, Skubal left with a 7-0 lead with 2 out in the 7th after collecting career K #1000 in his last start before the deadline...Tigers lost 10-9 in 12. They would need a whole new pen if they want to justify keeping him, but I do hope they try and fall short anyway.

That video reminds me of myself at my second Sox game and first night game ever, it was against the Yankees in the summer of 1956 that my favorite uncle took me too, I was 10 years old and cried the whole game as Mantle, Berra and the rest of that gang beat us 10-1.

Another nice crowd, Sox have now drawn 1,289,646 for the season with an average of 23,882 per game, if they can stay in the race until the end they should get to the 2 million mark.

I love this story. You’ve gotten to see some legends in your lifetime. I would have loved to grow up in that era. Do you remember much of Jackie Robinson playing?

Never saw him live, just on TV in the 55 and 56 World Series. My first live game was at Comiskey in July 1955 with my Cub Scout pack.

Wish I could have gotten the comiskey experience but I was born just a few years after they tore it down. Have some great memories with my dad at the current ballpark when I was a young’n though. Grew up going to the ballpark watching those 05, 06, 08 teams. Been miserable ever since lol. Til this year.

First game was ‘71 in Milwaukee. Saw the Washington Senators play. First Sox game was ‘72 at Comiskey vs Milwaukee. Sox won 6-1. Got to see the great Dick Allen.

Gonna hate watch this Dodgers Mariners game. Wish both teams could lose. Firmly rooting against Seattle at this point, wild card contender, and their fans were way too cocky at the game and I'll be back at another one next week be nice to talk some more s%*#.

Good to be invested in baseball as we flip to August. Been a few years.

I do. I think I have a few years on Mighty Mite. I went to several Cub games against Brooklyn. I saw all those guys. Jackie, Campy, Newk. Couple more. Junior Gillum? As you can imagine, there were a lot of black guys in the crowd. Not sitting together or anything organized, just many throughout the stands. And they were quiet. No overt cheering. But you know they were moved. And, I never saw any trouble brewing anywhere from anyone.

Going down memory lane I wonder if younger fans knew the White Sox played home games at County Stadium for a couple of seasons.
