I didn't expect to win given the pitching matchup, but when you only give up a run, it always sucks to lose.

Yea, on paper we had no business winning this game. In the box score it’ll show it was closer than it “should have been”.

In reality - we could have won this game if just a couple of key things went a different way.

This game was THE definition of “a game of inches.”

If someone has to be sacrificed, it may as well be Ron. Then we can officially retire that awful Chairman of the Board nickname.

Pretty bad when the catcher is the best hitter in the game

They shoulda pinch hit Acura for Colson.

Not sure how good of hitter, but a smaller strike zone.

honestly, f*** Ron. This loss is 100% on him.

Gotta Ron proof all game threads if we're on a win streak.

It's pretty easy to see how the Rays outperform their run differential. They don't give up leads late in the game.

You couldn't buy these fairies a run

You should be forced to take this loss up your ass Ron.

Well played game, just no BABIP luck at all

A positive outing for Schultz too. Get em tomorrow

Nice offense, bums…

Where’s Beavis?

I wish they wouldn’t have run into an out at second with Braden getting caught stealing and also wish they would have pinch ran Acuna for Grich with Peters laying down a bunt.

Manufacturing runs and cashing in with RISP and less than two outs have been this teams weakness on the offensive side.

Once they crack the code on those issues, this team will immediately become much much more dangerous.

It is my number one gripe with them along with their need for stronger starting pitching and production from their catchers.

I also wonder what our record would be this year if both Mune and Teel had been healthy all season.

People hear for real obsessed with Ron. Forget Ron. Focus on the Rays.

s%*# am I playing tomorrow?

Hopefully the brain trust learns from this and the team can start executing on the manufacturing side of the offense.

We’re going to need to win these types of games in the playoffs.

Antonacci getting thrown out stealing in the first is to blame.

This offense needs a jolt. Center fielder continue to do absolutely nothing since the ASB. Pereira is terrible!

Nah - dude enjoys it obviously and brings it on himself. Also gives us some comedic relief when there are tough losses like this.

At least Peters is starting to hit the ball hard again even if he doesn't have much to show for it.

I do recall one pundit reporting that one thing on our wishlist for the deadline is a RH bat. Maybe Getz will shock us and bring someone to man centerfield with Peters ongoing struggles.

The next 48 hours are going to be interesting!

This was just one of those games where pitching dominated, the Sox should not be ashamed, one of the best pitchers in the league beat them along with tough relief pitching. The Sox are going to come back and win the series tomorrow.

Pitching was good but man did they chase a ton of pitches out of the zone deep in the count

Ron is the greatest troll in history and he’s pretty funny. Don’t be PB and jelly.

Peters is now swinging the bat well, a lot of hard hit balls but unfortunately right at somebody, they’ll starting falling in, can’t give up on this kid, he’s an excellent centerfielder, probably not a good as Robert but has more heart in his baby finger than Robert had in his whole body.

Pereira is and always has been a wind tunnel. Something both the Yankees and Rays figured out. Unfortunately, Getz did not.

Truth.

And I seriously doubt a RH center fielder is really high on Getz wish list.
