Reverse splits this year. Just brutal

We've gotta make sure all our catchers have averages under 200. Although at least Joey was just under 200 with the Braves!

Better than Romo

Gave up nothing for him and I don’t need to see Romo anymore. Great!

So basically for free. Wanted Stephenson, but guessing the price was too high.

Upgrade over what they have. Signed through next year.

Would have rather added him two years ago before he forgot how to hit. At least he is basically free.

I think it's reasonable to think Quero would revert to something like a lot of these catchers would get you, save Stevenson.

That said, we got several players that I think I'd have to squint to say are definitely, definitely gonna be better than what they were replacing.

I could go full Clockwork Orange and tell Bart is gonna be better than Romo.

Don't worry about the platoon splits IMO. He had normal splits the past couple years. Statistically speaking, you shouldn't buy into surprising position player platoon splits unless he's kept it up for years.

With an OPS of almost .700. Getting something close to .700 OPS from our catching spot would be a huge improvement.
