As someone who went Catholic grade school, I always loved the May Crowning because it meant there was about 2 weeks of school left. We also always got All Saints Day off (November 1st) so we could have sleepovers on Halloween. It ruled.

Raised Catholic. I was an altar boy. There was a Litany of Saints event at the beginning of 40 hours Devotion where a bunch of priests from other churches would come over and have this huge procession around the inside of the church. That was cool. Getting All Saints Day off was a total score. We'd have school, and have to attend mass for the Holy Day of Obligation.
