Just a great all around game for Luis Catillo ! 10 K in 7 IP, 1 hit , picked a guy off 1st and made a beautiful glove scoop on a bunt.

Great all around defense too. Antonncci diving play at 2nd base, leaping catch at the wall in LLCF by Peters playing LF with Doyle in CF. Braden also a nice diving catch in the 9th inning.

Meidroth important 2 run HR in the 6th to get us from 1 to 3 run lead and another hit.

Antonacci 3 hits.

Murakami extended his on base streak to 27 which currently is tied for tops in the AL and longest by a Sox player since Abreu did it in 2022. Long way off from the single season record of 54 games by Luke Appling and the team record 57 game streak by Frank Thomas covering 2 seasons.

Romo 1st HR in a while and another hit and a big smiles.

Castillo looking right into the camera with a big smile and the 🫶 .

I guess the small sample size of his 1st ever start for the Sox did not determine the outcome of his whole White Sox career. Shocker. Clueless. Meatballs.

Ive missed the last couple games, sadly. I'm so relieved to see that Castillo turned in a gem, we need him desperately. I'm very scared for the Tigers series. Their trajectory is not good.

Day game tomorrow and lots of rest should help Martin. He has very good stats during day games. Vargas got a day of rest today . Might see a HR from him against the LH Abbott. I feel good about tomorrow .

There is no stat to predict change of scenery. I'm really starting to believe there is a new attitude and character around this team.

fwiw castillo's advanced stats suggest a solid 4th starter type. obviously with a change of perspective and injected into a pennant race on a young team that also gets the juices flowing. His contract is what it is, hopefully he can keep it up and we'll take the production.
