It’s a true bracket. Top seed plays the 4/5 winner. Two seed plays the 3/6 winner. The East is probably going to have 1/4/5 because division winners get the top 3 seeds. Thus the East will be have a bloodbath on their side of the bracket. That’s why winning the 2 seed is imperative. Get the bye then get the winner of Houston/Texas/Minnesota/Detroit/Cleveland/Toronto/whoever and only have to beat one of the three eastern division teams in the ALCS.
