Oh my God. We are actually having legit conversations in August about playoff seeding.

At this point, would take a pretty big collapse for the Sox to not win the Central.

Keep an eye on Astros/Rangers for all important 2 seed.

unless one of those teams have Red Sox like moments.

Interesting win today, they kept chipping away.

34 hits for the Sox in the series, the most Detroit has allowed in a 3 game series all season

Half of the hits were XBH (7 HR, 9 2B, 1 3B)

Suck it Detroit. Mize currently shoving against the Tribe as an added bonus. 3-0 pads in the 5th.

Good weekend for Chicago sports: Sox sweep, Bears win, Scrubs drop 2 of 3, and Ishbia clears another hurdle towards a new Sox stadium.

Red Sox lose, probably won't matter but if it does Sox currently .5 back, tied in loss column.

The White Sox are now 14-7 on the season in Sunday games, they are 7-0 since the beginning of July. Their literal Sunday lineups have a .667 win% this year.

Sox win. Guards losing. Tigers lose. Twins lose. Cubs lose. The Earth is back on its axis.

This was reminiscent of the Twins series in 2004 when we were gaining some momentum only for them to put their foot on our throat and sweep us. Infamous Carlos Lee slide game.

Could care less about what the Cubs do but the twins, tigers and guards all losing is fantastic. Great weekend for the White Sox!

looks like Tigers about to be back in 2nd, yikes day for our competitors.

It's very likely that we will hold an extra game advantage over our division rivals by late September given the tiebreakers.

Honestly, if the Sox somehow fall into a wild card spot I think you want the Red Sox in 5th so you’re the 6 seed and avoid the East teams.

Interesting, yea, can see that. Although TB doesn't scare me like the Yankees with that SP.

Detroit's already had theirs.

To be fair to Detroit, they also don't have their two best pitchers so that makes it a bit easier for us.

Cubs next and they might be coming back to earth as they’re struggling against the Cards, if we can win 2 in Wrigley, it will be huge.

The Cubs are so streaky this year.

Not winning the division at this point would be a let down, I don't want to think about a wild card berth, it's AL Central or bust for me.

Guards loss goes final, 5-0.

DeLauter left the game early with a hammy, something maybe worth keeping an eye on

JRam was great on D and solid at the plate. Still only 1 XBH since the hamate injury, .239 slg and <.600 OPS since coming off the IL.

Guards have lost 5 straight series, 6-14 in their last 20

Mize would look good on the South Side next year.

Completely agree. A best route to a trip to the ALCS lies in winning the central and being the 2 seed.
