Or what will be higher, his batting average or his strikeout total. The thing that is bothering me is for a guy who whiffs as much as he does, usually on a high fastball, he seems perplexed as to how it could possibly happen. 17 games he has fanned at least 3 times, 5 golden sombreros.

As bad as Mune and Colson have been, one or both of them will heat up at some point. Running off 8 out of 10 somewhere soon would certainly ease tension and I do think they are bound for a hot spell at some point.....even with the starting pitching as thin as it is.

It depends if their key players continue to perform well and not slump. But Colson has got to break out of his slump and start advancing baserunners. I'm nervous now but still optimistic they will make it

it isnt controversial to say that they just don't have the pitching right now to make a serious run at anything

I also don't buy the argument of "just make it in, it's a crap shoot". maybe for teams with more veterans with experience, and a decent starting rotation, this team unfortunately has neither

Too early to tell. I need more insight into how the starting rotation shakes out in the next 10 days and to see how they fair in the continuing SWEEP THE CENTRAL campaign.

If the rotation starts to stabilize and they perform well in the upcoming 6 games against Minny, all signs will point to YES. If they do not see life in the rotation and fall to the Twinkies… all signs will flash NO.

Though, I could still see a middle ground where this division is decided in the final week with shades of 2005 coming into play.

Bottom line: GO SOX!

I don't know whats going to happen but if they make it in on the side of the bracket with Houston and Texas or something like that, they could win the ALDS. There is going to be an extremely flawed team in the ALCS this year. Why not us?

Cleveland has two big things going for them right now, a ridiculously easy schedule and a solid pitching staff.

Every single time I read "Tra La, Tra La" I get a sinking feeling that something bad will happen to the team.

Ant. .208/.604

Mune .140/.643

C Mont .177/.497

B Mont. .229/.694

Meidroth .216/.606

Call it a team slump or guys pressing but it isn't just one player. Maybe the old, guys trying to hit 6 run homers.

Yes. Left handed slug is a valuable commodity in the playoffs.

You know, I don't think it's that crazy of a thing to do anymore. If you're grabbing him to be a 4th OF/platoon CF. You just pay him for the last month. Can be your 27th/28th man when rosters expand.
