To allow him to walk the third guy is poor managing. Hes mitch Williams and that was never a good planit's a 4 run game, will is rightfully trying to have Taylor limit his innings. I get the decision and and he did the right thing once it became in doubt and burned Taylor regardless. Not many mangagers can do that.
1 hour ago1 hr Only this team can make us sweat out a game where they led by 6 after 1, 7 after 4, and 6 after 5.

1 hour ago1 hr Thankfully a 2 pitch save for Taylor isn't much different from just having him warming anyway

That’s awful VenableThree walks by a closer in the 9 th inning is extremely unacceptable, and so is Will leaving him in for at least the third walk, which brought the tying run to the plate. Hagan Smith is not a closer at this time. Too many walks. Thankfully Taylor was able to close it out.

1 hour ago1 hr Nice win but holy crap. High wire act is no longer fun. With off day Thursday Taylor should be good. Kay and Hicks have to be better.
1 hour ago1 hr 5 minutes ago, fathom said:Especially once the put Diaz in for Joc, it was the obvious moveI disagree. You go as long as you can without needing to put Taylor in. Diaz was more likely to make an out there than reach base, even with Smith’s control problems, and even if he reaches, you can bring Taylor in against their 8 hitter. I would have managed it the exact same way.

57 minutes ago57 min On another topic, our Chuck and Ozzie are wearing the two ugliest looking sport coats ever in the postgame show now.
50 minutes ago50 min I think there's a serious chance to Taylor gets run down so I think Will has to take some risks to try to keep him out of games. Pitchers who fail to execute are going to put managers in difficult positions. I think Will did just fine with this one. A bunch of guys went out there today and didn't do what they were supposed to. You run out of buttons to push and you still need to compete tomorrow.

31 minutes ago31 min Angels solo shot puts them back up. CLE pen will have limited options after using their top 3 yesterday.Meanwhile, I think Buxton just injured himself in the Sacramento outfield. Came up short digging for a ball in the gap, looked like he could hardly move for a bit. Walked gingerly off the field and now out of the game.
31 minutes ago31 min Honestly was a hard game to watch. Feels like the wheels are coming off, hope they can survive the next month.

Clearly been dealing with something for a bit (no HRs since June), a little surprising how much they still play him in CF.Wonder if MIN pulls the trigger on a Walker Jenkins call up if he misses time again.
