Thursday at 01:41 AM2 days This team is toast. They had a good run, but the offense is regressing hard and the pitchers are hitting a wall. It's over for this squad. Gotta hope some of our players rebound next year, and this isn't who they actually are. Don't be sad that they're blowing it now. Be happy that they were ever in contention. Thursday at 01:51 AM2 days This is solid work Ron. Based on your history of pronouncing something dead, the Sox should now win like 15 in a row.Way to take one for the team.
Thursday at 02:47 AM2 days But what about those Cubbies?Buried and dead Edited Thursday at 02:47 AM2 days by caulfield12
Thursday at 02:48 AM2 days "Don't be sad that they're blowing it now. Be happy that they were ever in contention."Is that a direct quote from Fegan, or WestEddy?"grateful/appreciative" would be better word choices than happy Edited Thursday at 02:50 AM2 days by caulfield12

Thursday at 03:19 AM2 days Time for them to play to expectations - Sandlin comes up and shoves, Thorpe to follow during the weekend, sweep St Louis and Cleveland after winning tomorrow for our longest winning streak.Mune finishes the week at 37 bombs. Colson gets to 40. We all are going streaking. 😆

Thursday at 04:15 AM2 days From Fegan's Sun-Times story:With 17 games left after Wednesday, the repeated assertions that rookies Noah Schultz, David Sandlin, or that a rehabbing Drew Thorpe could be recalled for meaningful innings down the stretch are harder to figure. But that hasn’t slowed the flow of said assertions.“There’s a number of guys down there that are going to be helpful for us at some point here,” Venable said. “A very important piece of this, getting to the end here, is having those guys available and ready to contribute.”If Thorpe being asked to turn a lineup over twice in a division race–more than two years since he was last in the majors–feels far-fetched, multi-inning relief work is a potential fit for him and other Triple-A starters.
Thursday at 08:36 AM2 days I think the Sox and Cubs both miss the postseason, in all honesty. Just a normal September for baseball in Chicago.
Thursday at 11:48 AM2 days Dont give up now. Quitters never win and winners never quit. LETS GO WHITESOX!

Watched him pitch just before being called up and my son and I said he really looks awful and is a bust. Them he does this which is just miraculous. So you never know when it clicks in baseball. ERA was almost 5 in AAA and a 1.35 ratio.
