So dumb a play like that isn't reviewable. Glad it went the Sox way. But man that was so obviously a foul ball lol

you know the MLBPA is gonna push hard for 100% ABS in this next CBA

And they should. Screw the umps feelings lol. If they the ability to get every single call 100% correct, and they do, they should do it.

The players wanted this system. Maybe they've since changed their minds after living with it for a season.

We finally get a break

Hey! Another break!

you cannot keep letting Braden kill this fucking team hitting right handed

edit: or CAN YOU?

Teel looks a lot calmer since coming back from his latest injury which is a good thing

Swing the god damn bat.

just can't get a lead

They really have no sense of the strike zone at times

Strike out, imagine that. WTF

This offense has had so many wasted friggin opportunities

That was a strike Kyle, tough pitch.

Teel just can't hit lefties.

interesting to put that into perspective, we've talked all year about how once they got into 1st place, they never put their foot on the gas ("never had a winning streak or losing streak more than 4-5 games") you could argue theyve not played well with pressure all year, they had a much better lineup than everyone else in the division outside of the Twins who still scored fewer runs

I think the trade deadline moves really screwed up what this team was able to do, they needed starting pitching so badly, the bullpen was never going to be able to continue this pace of pitching damn near every other game, so when the pitching inevitably faltered, the offense felt more pressure to get leads/hold leads and often always had to come from behind because they have zero reliable starting pitching

I think if the SP had held up, the offense would have never went into this slide

thanks for coming to my TED Talk

This team isn’t built to have a 8-10 game winning streak with their starting rotation, just can’t happen. They did a great job all season not losing more than 4 in a row, kept their head above water.

There has been a lot of positives that have come out of this season, I don’t want to ignore that, or be reactionary to this bad stretch. But again, expectations quickly change in sports. Given what they did from April-July, not making the playoffs would be a big failure at the end of this season. That’s not being unfair, it’s being real

Swing the damn bat!!

I know someone just said this, but I’m pissed.

They have given the Sox Soooo many chances the last few innings.

this constipated offense is tough to watch
