2 hours ago2 hr This is where even a bad Castillo should have been able to give you 6 innings, 4 runs. Instead, he’s just wasting a roster spot.

Either your starter gives up the runs, or the bullpen that is incredibly overworked gives up the runs. They don't have any legit starters. Starting pitchers should be able to give you 5-6 innings. I would love to see how many pitches their starters have thrown compared to everyone else. It has to be bottom 3.

1 hour ago1 hr Who is more responsible for this tragic ending to what was earlier in the year a reason for this team and its fans to hold their heads high and feel a sense of elation that has now burnt itself into a hellish nightmare. Getz or Venable?

If he gets credit for acquiring players like Vargas and Peters and the team doing better than expected this season, he should also have to eat s%*# for one of the worst trade deadlines in MLB history. And no, it’s not too early to judge those deadline trades. His acquisitions haven’t done jack squat for this season, which is the exact purpose of deadline trades. They have made the team worse. Getz or Venable?GetzBilly Carlson, Mason Adams, and Boston Smith probably could have netted a legitimate starter at the deadline. That would be sparing the bullpen right now and we could trust Taylor, Newcomb, etc.Venable has made wild decisions, but the staff is held together with duct tape

1 hour ago1 hr They do have a great young offensive team. The Montgomery boys strike out way too much. Vargas, Muney, and Meidroth are solid. B Montgomery has great arm in right field, can he hit his weight? Teel will be a star, I’d keep Roger’s as his backup. Colson, question is can he cut down on strikeouts, same with B Montgomery, he also strikes out way too much also, yes they’re young and a lot of potential talent. Colson has too much power to give up on him yet.

1 hour ago1 hr Look, I know this sucks. This game sucks. This team has sucked recently. But really barring a miracle, did anyone see this team making it to World Series? It's gonna suck if they get bounced from a playoff spot. There's a lot of emotion to making it this far in first place just to let it slip away. But really they were there by virtue of the AL Central sucking ass and somehow being a .500 team that had 1 good month but never really broke through to start working toward 15-20 games over .500. This team never had the horses, and I know shitting on Getz deadline is the popular thing to do but he was not fixing this s%*# at the deadline. This team is just SUPER young, no matter what they should be proud of their season. It was fun, they gave us a fun year of baseball and meaningful September baseball and that's something I didn't know I needed until I had it again because I basically stopped watching the Sox the past few years. There's still a solid chance we end up a Wild Card - but even then that may be the peak for this team because if they have to play a team like Houston, I don't see them winning whether it's in the Wild Card or the ALDS. For whatever reason, they just don't play well against them.
1 hour ago1 hr Not making the postseason would be awful given the way the first 4 months went. No one was expecting a World Series team, but a ton of momentum has come to a screeching halt
1 hour ago1 hr i can’t imagine Peters’ injuries just being just day to day. Watch his collision with the wall again. That was rough. Now think about swinging a bat after that. Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by WhiteSox2023
1 hour ago1 hr We lose a game we were up 6 in the 5th inning and we lose Peters. Just a disastrous day for this team's postseason chances.
1 hour ago1 hr Second shocking loss in a week.13th time this year the Sox had a lead in the 7th inning or later and lost the game.Just hard to see how they recover from this one.Pitching is completely spent.Somehow win four more games, lock in a winning season, thanks for the memories and make your golf reservations. We'll see if there is a next season.
