I remember when sox acquired pham and everyone said it was meaningless and he wouldnt play so all the negative peolle were reacting for no reason.

Some credit to Messick there, begrudgingly. 0-2 after two changeups. Pham thought there was no way he’d get a strike, that was a clear take. 4 seamer down the middle was not a very predictable pitch there lol

Pham completely overmatched. Messick probably isn't gonna throw him a rolling curveball again after he hit it out against him last time.

Messick doesn't throw his 4-seamer low very often at all, so I think Pham just thought he was getting a sinker that would miss low.
