But, other than the obvious reasons for having him, I would love it most to just rub it in the faces of tigers fans. They can have Benetti, we’ll take Skubal 😂 Edited Sunday at 08:54 PM3 days by AntMan26

Yesterday at 03:42 AM1 day I don’t know where else to put this…I’m not surprised that Cam Booser became a very good reliever. I’m still shocked that the White Sox gave up on him after one season, considering they gave a real prospect for him.Another miss by Brian Bannister. Edited yesterday at 03:43 AM1 day by Boopa1219

It has to be the hardest thing to evaluate looking forward on an annual basis.

12 hours ago12 hr I am a true believer in Davis Martin and feel his early 2026 was not a fluke. If healthy I believe his ceiling is higher than most want to give him credit for. His K-BB% was an absurd 27% in May and learning about his lingering calf injury you have to think that had a large play in his declining peripherals. His April was fantastic as well.I am not expecting him to replicate his April-May numbers for a full season, but this is a SP that you throw back out there in 2027 to see what you have. He is a lock in my eyes and I expect him to be a staple in the rotation as long as hes able to stave off nagging injuries.
8 hours ago8 hr With the continuing decrease in starters inning there is of course more innings to be covered by the pen. With a limitation on the number of pitchers, there really should be a role for a glue guy. Glue guy defined as (another old term) a rubber arm who can give you a couple of innings multiple days in a row. With max effort guys that is very hard to do. Richards kind of did that. Unreal what a Mike Marshall (106 games 208 ip or 90 games 142 ip at 36yo) or a Wilbur Wood would be worth to a team. Ok since both have passed away not worth much but someone pitching like them. With everything focusing on velocity, could movement etc make a comeback?

1 hour ago1 hr They have a lot of arms to work with. I'd like to see what Cannon can do as a 1-2 inning reliever....he has some arm. It's now or never to try Taylor as a starter. I figure Vasil is headed that way too, when ready.I also note 2 teams that traded away starters in the offseason: Brewers and Rays (Baz). Orioles, Mets, Rangers, Astros et al were the suckers and held the bag.

1 hour ago1 hr I know he's older but I was really impressed with Nick Martinez this playoffs. If we can get him and Detmers, I'd take that in a heartbeat. My dream scenario is King and Detmers.
