SCREW JOSE!

Featured Replies

He hit a bomb, and he watched it all the way! I can't believe him. He has no heart, doesn't play hard and all he does is showboat. He should stop swinging for the fences and hit some singles. He'll be a better player and it'll be better for the team. He has it coming for him. Trade him already.

Sorry had to do it. He crunched one over the fence, and gave it a little extra watch. Yet, nobody cares...unlike Carlos. Bash me all you want for this thread...

I just have one thing to say. :huh

 ;) :headbang

I love that one.

On those very rare occasions that CLee watches a home run ball we get threads saying he is a showboat jerk who should be set to A ball or something like that

Mr Dylan did an effective job of parodying those threads which have bashed CLee for doing what Jose did

for the record, as I posted in the bash CLee threads, I have no problem with CLee - nor with Jose - on this

i know it might be a little bit of show boating, but after i take a dump i like to take a nice long stare.....

this was a great topic.....i think rowand was showboating today too....what an asshole for knocking one to straight center then looking at it

Nicely done Bob. :)

hilarious. i cant stop laughing  :notworthy

Naw he wasnt. When he hit that ball he ran hard to first. It was a line shot outta here. Uribe did the same but ran much harder.

I like when Uribe hits a homer he just puts his head down and sprints.

Although showboating doesn't really bother me I'd prefer they run hard.

Dude, join the club, i do the same thing, maybe we can be the new bash brothers.

:headbang :headbang :drink :booty :booty

Seriously they have the right to showboat...

And it's not like their was any doubt about Jose's HR or anything...

I am not a big fan of Valentin, but when he watches it, it goes out of the park, and usually with more than a few feet to spare. Carlos, I am a bigger fan of, but he watched a ball he thought was gone, not go. Then, days later, hits one,and watches again. The ball lands in the first row, you would have thought he might have learned something the previous time. They shouldn't do it either way, but its part of the game now.

--Dick Allen, you are the man on this one.

You got it right.

Jose V. had a great great first half.

DING DING DING DING....

That's been my point all along.

And I was one of the ones that led the "CLee Bashing" and I stand by it. Look, these guys are professionals, and they know when they hit the sweet spot of the bat as opposed to just lifting it and it barely getting out. You smash it, and it goes to the friggin' concourse, BAM, stand there and admire that masterpiece. :cheers :cheers to ya. No problem wit' dat.

You hit a fly ball that is just carrying, you better run your ass off because it can hit two inches below the line and cost you an out. In the regular season, eh, who cares, right? But habits are formed, and if that happens in the playoffs, you KNOW that everyone would come here crying that are defending it today.

(By the way, this has no bearing on how he runs the basepaths on a liner, or fields. Ya, the dude has worked his butt off on these parts of the game, and it shows, because he's TONS better then 2-3 years ago - except for the occasional bonehead pickoff, but I can live with even that, because he guessed wrong and is more of a part of the game then standing at home plate admiring a 335 foot shot that MIGHT make it out).

And, while I'm in a Cheerio mood on this, I'll say it again because it pisses people off so bad. I just hope none of you all are ones that get pissed at ShamME's HOP and then defend Carlos (I don't think so in this particular thread). There's a couple, and it's h-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-c-a-l.

I really don't care to the point it sounds, but I do get kind of fired up when a sCrUB does it and he gets bashed and a Sox does it and he's the hardest worker in the American League. rolleyeyes.gif

Hey - I wanted to put this somewhere without starting a new post.

But for those at the game today. Did you see when Joe Borchard was announced to come out on the field, in the opening intros, Mark Buehrle was grabbing onto his arm and wouldn't let him out of the dugout? I was in the UD and thought that was hilarious.

:lolhitting I think Joe is a little stronger then Mark though. :D

Josse is playing his best SS since he joined the Sox. He'll probably be back next year.

Jose crushed that ball today. He had every right to watch it being there was absolutely no doubt that it was gone. I guarantee you that if Jose wasn't positive he wouldn't have watched, like Carlos consistently does. Atleast use a comparable example if you're going to criticize other people's opinions.
