LMAO, so did Marmol.

So they don't have a single player left to play.

funny s***

Eric Byrnes is a hardnosed basamaball player.

I luvvvvvvv extra innings

The Rangers have quickly become one of my most hated teams in the last few years.

Where's our Ryan O'Malley?

Just to piss Flash off, cuz I know he wanted to be the first to say it. :P

Maybe the luckiest 8 innings of shutout ball ever. Finishes with 6 walks, 2 k's, and a ton of flyouts against a terrible offense though, and gets a 1-0 win. Pretty cool story though to see a 26 year old who wasn't even on the 40 man do that.

Padilla decided that he wasnt really a good pitcher, so he figured, maybe I should become a headhunter?

Krivsky's kollection of middle relievers kontinues.

Reds trade for Shoeneweis

I assume that move was to replace the lefty Mercker, who is out for the year and probably done for his career. I assume he made this pick up as a LOOGY, while looking at Shoeneweis' splits last year (only .188 BAA vs lefties in 2005).

"You know what AJ, I give you the permission to go ahead and kick Padilla in the behind."

Maybe those weren't Hawk's exact words, but Padilla needs to get a good beating, asshole.

I don't care how lucky it was, that was very impressive. this dude is making his major league debut and goes eight strong innings, giving up only five hits and giving up zero runs to the defending NL champs. Sure he had six walks (hell Zambrano had like seven and he shut them down) but doing this in your major league debut? I must say that was damn good.

Agreed.

They hit Kennedey tonight, and a fight broke out.....

f***ing awesomeness.

-Feldman throwing a punch sidearm, and tossing his glove down as he prepared to kick some ass

-DeRosa spearing Kennedy

-Juan Rivera hitting his own teammate with a thrown batting helmet

-John Lackey looking to beat some ass

Gotta love it.

Agreed.

He was also going up against a horrible offensive team that played 18 innings the night before.

I heard that Bud Selig has cancelled all games this weekend except for those being played within the Massachusetts state border, this way proper attention can be placed on this most epic of series. Can anyone confirm this?

Just a follow-up. ESPN has also disabled all programming for the weekend for this epic series. Only all 5 games, replays of such games, Special analysis of the games on Sportscenter will be the only things shown this weekend.

Ick, both those effin teams are evil. However I agree, let the Yanks take 5 for standings purposes. But damn I feel dirty even saying that.

ESPN is covering the game itself.

ESPN2 is having three screen coverage consisting of the game and each dugout.

ESPNNews is having instant in game analysis with the Baseball Tonight crew.

ESPN Desportes has live open Mic of Manny Ramirez and David Ortiz who have agreed to speak Spanish for the entire series regardless of the questions or other conversation dialect.

ESPNHD has figure skating and womens tennis all weekend.

Just woke up in time to see this Yankee rally.
