My parents are here... they are supposed to connect through O'Hare on Wednesday. I think they're going to get to visit a while longer then they thought they would.

They aren't going to fly out of ORD on Wed if this storm is even 1/2 accurate. They are talking at least 12 inches everywhere, with 16-20 projected lakeside, and higher squals possible in lake effect belts.

No, they're already here (Dallas) and have a connection through O'Hare going back to Indianapolis. I'm sure the flight will get cancelled but I wonder how bad they are about change fees in advance as opposed to after the storm hits.

So I was supposed to go back to Carbondale this weekend but I couldn't make it cause I couldn't get my car out of the garage(true story) but one of my best friends who was back there visiting got jumped and got his face all f***ed up, facial fractures galore. As much as I love that place it's gotten so ridiculous the last few years, unfortunately I can't even count the number of times my buddies and I have been jumped down there the last 2 or 3 years. My freshman and sophomore years, we never had any problems and all the sudden it became a weekly thing for someone in my group of friends to have to defend themselves from something ridiculous happening.

Yeah, to confirm what other's have stated, you didn't come to a complete stop. There's no way you'll win either of these.

90 percent of them seem to take place on West College. The party house we all hung out at a few years back was down there and literally the 2nd semester that year, every freakin weekend something crazy was happening. My one friend literally got beat up by 5 guys walking back home when they asked him if he was happy Obama won the election and he jokingly said "Who's Obama?" got jumped right there by all 5 of them while he was with his gf, f***in ridiculous.

My guess is the only thing you could do is try to befuddle them on a technicality, such as raising questions as to when the last time the thing was serviced and maintained...and hoping they are not following proper protocol or unable to provide the required documentation.

Crazy, I have never gotten jumped but i have a friend and she was knocked out from behind and wokeup in some random guy's house. He told her that was passed out so they took her someplace safe... was realllly weird.
