October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 03:55 AM) personally I think this closes the books on Granderson. Thank God. Granderson is my favorite non-Sox player, but I'm happy he's likely not coming here.
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 03:56 AM) I think we should go after Corey Hart. He's not going to cost a lot of money, so not a big risk. HartTalk.com
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:48 PM) Well. Who in the lineup truly has that veteran "yes he will produce" feeling for you? I have nobody. Ventura? Oh wait... Hrmmm well, I can't see that the chips we have, outside of pitching would net us much in the way of an impact MI, so maybe FA?
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:55 PM) personally I think this closes the books on Granderson. Thank God. Yeah I did not want Granderson playing on the South Side
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 03:56 AM) HartTalk.com I don't think he'd be a good fit in the AL Central with all the tough righties he'd have to face.
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 03:59 AM) I think it's time for the McCann mega thread. Rangers-bound, IMO
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:59 PM) Rangers-bound, IMO Actually helps us in the market IMO. Keep an eye on high-contact scrappy players, I know it sucks but I think mgmt thinks they have the power at this point.
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 10:59 PM) Rangers-bound, IMO Or Boston. Or NY. Then the runner ups go after Salty. I don't think either are in the cards for the White Sox.
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 18, 2013 -> 04:59 AM) Rangers-bound, IMO His market is impossible to predict but if he goes elsewhere for under 70 million I will be pissed.
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 11:01 PM) Actually helps us in the market IMO. Keep an eye on high-contact scrappy players, I know it sucks but I think mgmt thinks they have the power at this point. Who's on the market that fits that bill?

Keep an eye on high-contact scrappy players, I know it sucks but I think mgmt thinks they have the power at this point. I hope it's high OBP and not just hit contact rate guys. Keppinger was a high contact rate guys as well right?
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 11:03 PM) Who's on the market that fits that bill? Just my opinion but I would say CF, C, SS or 2B and probably will look to deal a starting pitcher possibly

Keep an eye on high-contact scrappy players, I know it sucks but I think mgmt thinks they have the power at this point. I think we enough Jeff Keppinger's on the roster. I'll take more power please.

Keep an eye on high-contact scrappy players, I know it sucks but I think mgmt thinks they have the power at this point. Shoppach/AJP/Torrealba/Buck/Blanco, and lesser extent Suzuki(he's got an option) for a starting list

October 18, 201312 yr So apparently the meeting is wrapping up, I take that as the Sox know they have him pending physical. Ill stay on it.
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 09:05 PM) BTW, they LOOOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEE Keppinger I'm game for him to have another shot at staring 3B. Hoping he can prove last year to be a fluke. Would much rather trade a SP for Lowrie and move Kepp back into a utility role.
October 18, 201312 yr All in on McCann at this point. That's the one hole left on the team. We could certainly upgrade elsewhere but catcher is the only spot left where it's a must.
October 18, 201312 yr QUOTE (hi8is @ Oct 17, 2013 -> 11:10 PM) I'm game for him to have another shot at staring 3B. Hoping he can prove last year to be a fluke. Would much rather trade a SP for Lowrie and move Kepp back into a utility role. I think he's a great utility player. Thats about it IMO. 2B (sometimes) 1B and 3B.
October 18, 201312 yr What does this guy bat? R or L? I can't find anything on the baseball sites that states whether he bats righthanded or lefthanded. Edited October 18, 201312 yr by Elgin Slim
