Please no. He could hit 55 home runs and bat .320 and I'd say "Let him walk." Unless he'd take 4 mill a year I guess and that's only if he put up those numbers. He's still Adam Dunn for gosh sakes.

yeah, i wish we would've locked konerko up for 3-4 more years when he was hitting .400 for two months, a couple years ago

Honestly, if Dunn ends up staying the whole year (which if we are in contention he probably will) and puts up an .800+ OPS with 30+ HRs, I would love to sign him to another contract if he can be had on the cheap. Power is at a premium these days and there are not too many LH that hit 30+ HRs.

No but he should net a decent prospect or two at the deadline. That is a better outcome then we could've hoped for at the start of the season.

No way he retires this young when he's on pace to hit his 500th HR next year with a shot at 600 if he plays another 3 or 4.

If he has a good season, even a great season, i will enjoy it. But I will not forget about the first 3 seasons.

I am really going to enjoy this season if he's awesome. Dunn has always been one of my favorite players. I don't think that he'd stay here anyways. Hasn't been a successful signing and the majority of fans hate him. I'd leave.

I think a better idea would be to give him more money and more years. 6 years, $72 million. Plus they can buy him his own private island in the Caribbean too.

I don't think 4/28 is nearly enough. We should look at least at 4/60.

Im not talking about tarring and feathering Dunn on the way out, I just in no way shape or form would be willing to negotiate a deal with him.

His first year with the Sox was a disaster. Last two years haven't been what you wanted, but not quite the mess of the first year. I just wish he would have done a better job at getting on base.

It's hard to get guys his age on 1-year deals because they're generally looking to get 3-4 years to cover their decline.

You wouldn't because you would be paying him to do it again next year and that is very doubtful at this point. Dunn isn't very good, but he doesn't deserve the hate and boos he has received. He seems to be a good guy, a good teammate and certainly is one of the few White Sox who has run everything out the past 3 years. It's not like he isn't trying. That said, there is no scenerio, even if he keeps this up, do I think the Sox would give him a QO, and there is no way he keeps this up. His OPS is almost 1.100. Soxtalk has removed him from the dead weight list. He is doing exactly what the best case scenerio for him would be. Hopefully, he hits like he did the middle 4 months of last year for the entire season. He'll help win more games, but I'm sure, unless he has his best season with the White Sox, and is willing to play for peanuts next year, he's done with the team at the end of this season at the latest.
