My .02 cents:

 

Thibs is very prideful. So is front office. I'm of the opinion that Thibs will be more open in the future, and could have been more open to Org goals of minute and injury management if they were better at dealing with their coaches. But, from my seat, their heavy-handed dealings with Ron Adams and roster made an antagonistic relationship that made Thibs unresponsive to even their good ideas. That's an untenable relationship.

 

If Thibs could have swallowed being treated like crap to implement the good ideas for sake of team, he may have won against Cavs. But I think his next stop, in the right situation, we'll see some surprising changes from him.

i am with you, but i think he will be sitting the whole next yr.

 

but i still think he would really wanted to win, and then maybe quit or something like that. i also think some players rebelled.

Lots rumors that Doug Collins could join Fred Hoiberg's staff. However, I just spoke to Collins and says he has never talked to Hoiberg.

I know I'm late but Scott Brooks was a terrible, terrible coach.

i heard a media member slammimg Thibs for playing Noah 40 minutes a night on one leg. He played 40 minutes in 2 games this year. One was OT, one was double OT. The total lack of class the Bulls organization showed will bite them in the ass one day.

 

except Joakim's problems stem from last season, not this one. He played the most minutes of his career and then had to have surgery and was a shell of his former self.

He was really good down the stretch though. That uncontested layup with 15 seconds left was pretty clutch. He was responsible for all their points in OT.

I thought the Cavs were going to lose in 6 with Kyrie. Without Kyrie, it could be a damn sweep.

 

Cavs had absolutely nothing the last 6 minutes of the game. If it wasn't for Kyrie's block on Steph, there wouldn't have been an OT.

Cavs losing series would be nice.

It is funny how the Bulls smear campaign organized months ago vs Thibs has been successful. Even thiugh he coached without his best player more than half the games during his tenure, he has a.top 5 all time winning percentage. His offense is old, horrible etc. yet somehow it was top 10 in efficiency with guys like Aaron Brooks and Kirk Hinrich getting decent minutes. He ran players into the ground, yet the only 2 with real heavy minutes were Pau, having his best season in years, and Jimmy Buckets, who somehow overcame being run into the ground last year and this to be voted the leagues most improved player. Maybe Thibs had to go, but there is no basketball reason that needed to happen. The hatchet job started stealthfully months ago, and kept on continuing. I hope the Mayor succeeds, but I doubt he will squeeze more wins out of the team if the players reamin the same and Rose plays less than half the time.

This team with Thibs this year disappointed. They were suppose to be a 1 or 2 seed and just barely got a 3 seed. They could very easily win more than 50 games next year just by switching coaches.

 

As much as I hate Cleveland, sucks that Kyrie is probably done. It's the finals and you want both teams as healthy as they can be. If this goes past 5 games, I'd be shocked, if he is indeed out.
