Viciedo can't even hit LHP anymore, he's useless. Kinda pissed none of these guys are looking like they are getting moved. All of them are dead weight, Dunn, Viciedo, Danks, Beckham.

Milone is an extreme flyball pitcher. And if all Beane could get was Fuld, it means a lot of other teams weren't as impressed with Milone as apparently you are.

Sad state of affairs for the Sox when the team that needed OF help the most traded for Chris Denorfia instead of De Aza or Viciedo.

 

So it looks like the Sox will have 3 non-tenders this off-season.

Beckham and Viciedo have been awful this year, so it's no shock they're not in high demand. ADA hasn't been very good either. It's been a very bad year for the Sox in terms of developing assets at the MLB level outside of the core guys.

Carroll is a RHP so Milone. According to this fancy FIP stat that I'm now coming around on, Milone is only slightly better than Carroll.

Danks has been awful

From a baseball standpoint, I'd take De Aza over Fuld. Fuld is obviously better defensively, but offensively he should regress. He's been pretty bad most of his career. He is basically a defensive replacement/PR to me.

 

 

Imma go on the record and say this is an awful move by Robin. We'll see how it plays out.

I'm happy with the lineup as constructed. I'd prefer Dunn behind Abreu and I don't like putting Gillaspie in a position (after Eaton) where he is bound to see more LHP. Where he is, his non-power hits can drive in the runners ahead of him.

I just want to say that Robin made a brilliant move there to put Castellanos on to get to Avila.
