Lot of late comebacks for the Cubs this year.

Every game they play seems to be a one run game, win or lose.

It was fun to watch Max dominate a different Chicago team tonight

So much has been said about the threatening Cubs lineup that I was surprised to see that they're 18th in runs scored and in the bottom half of the NL.

Looks like the Sox aren't the only Chicago team to struggle with the fundamentals when playing the Royals. Fowler dropped an easy fly ball that led to 2 runs, 7-4 Royals now.

I wish Herrera would throw 88mph meat spinners to our rookies. That pitch to Russell was bulls*** and made him look good.

My friend caught the Royals HR today.

"Anyone that is a true Cubs fan knows that if you catch the opposing teams homerun ball, it's an unwritten rule to throw that thing back where it came from! By far one of the coolest, most adrenaline rushing experiences of my life. Wrigley Field & the Chicago Cubs are ‪#‎chicagocubs‬ ‪#‎wrigleyfield"

‬First comment; "I hope to one day do what you just did!"

I just read that people enjoy teams hitting home runs against them so they can be dicks.

I'm glad I don't have many of these people in my life..

Wow, Alcides Escobar with a rare miscue. He's been making that same play all season.

If he lets Gordon pick the ball up, Alex could've forced Bryant at home.

Soler to DL with left ankle sprain. Baxter back on roster to take his place.

Cubs now in third place and they continue to fall among the rankings in runs scored. Their supposed dangerous lineup isn't doing so hot.

On the other hand, as badly as they've played recently, they're still only trailing the two leaders in the NL Wildcard race by 1 game.

And they do have the expendable pieces (and money) to go out and make significant moves at the deadline.

You can say the same about the Sox lol. Only 2.5 games out.

Except there are 11 teams in striking distance in the AL.

The NL...there are no teams between the Cubs and the two WC spots at the moment.

Big difference in positioning.

Nats just got screwed on a bad call due to Joe West and his crew blowing an earlier replay. Instant replay is still a disaster.

And likely another bad call at first which can't be reviewed ends the game. Probably the worst umpired game of the season. Add this to the ridiculous list of ways the Cubs have won this season.

Catcher picked off guy at first to win game. Oh man
