Ouch.

No hitter gone after 8 2/3 and 2 strikes to Bishop.

Kipnis might have had a shot if he was 5 inches taller.

Indians had perfect games through 5 for three consecutive games this week against TB.

Rookie Cody Anderson had one on Monday broken up by former Indian Grady Sizemore. Former Indians Asdrubal Cabrera and Sizemore reached there in that inning against Carrasco.

Brandon Morrow also had a no-hitter broken up against TB broken up with one out to go as well.

Indians' last no-hitter was Len Barker in 1981 still.

Why in the world do you have Miguel Cabrera trying to steal bases?

Justin Verlander, who the Tigers extended two years before his deal expired and who is still owed at least $112M over four seasons after this one, looks like he might be completely toast. He has a 6.75 ERA, a 7.05 FIP, and a 1.2 K/BB. In his one quality start of four appearances this season, he allowed 6 hits and 5 walks in six innings with 3 K's.

The strangest thing about Verlander is that he still is in the mid 90s with his fastball, he just doesnt have the command anymore. I wonder if that mysterious "core muscle injury" that happened two offseasons ago did a a lot more than anyone realized at the time

He's their John Danks.

If John Danks had a Cy Young Award, four top-5 Cy Young finishes, and a MVP award on top of all that.

That's all over and done though. Raise your hand if you think Verlander will ever come near those numbers again...

I think every team would take Danks' contract before Verlander's.

Sure, but it's an easier pill to swallow when he provided your team with such a dominant stretch and was part of 5 playoff teams and two WS appearances. It's not like they signed him as a free agent in 2013 or something.

Carlos Carrasco is the anti-Quintana. 17 starts. 17 decisions.

Through 81:

Runs scored, runs allowed, diff

KC 48-33, 347-291, +56

Min 43-38, 338-333, +5

Det 41-40, 359-371, -12

Cle 38-43, 325-346, -21

Sox 37-44, 276-355, -79

Jerry, Kenny, Rick...figure it out, guys. It isn't working.

Since their obviously fluky 11-2 start, the Tigers are 31-39.

Good division this week...15-3 since Monday.

Chi vs Tor 3-1

Cle vs Hou 3-1

Det at Sea 2-1

KC vs TB 4-0

Min vs Bal 3-0

Tigers were up 6-1 and lost 8-6 on a Dozier walk-off homer.

Another 3-0 against teams outside of the division. Definitely the toughest division in the league.
