January 22, 201511 yr QUOTE (PlaySumFnJurny @ Jan 22, 2015 -> 01:54 PM) Enough already with the ex-Cubs. I know yours is in green, but the ex Cub factor is starting to become a concern. When you look at him though, is he really any worse than Tyler Flowers? Edited January 22, 201511 yr by Dick Allen
January 22, 201511 yr Ha, they've now acquired 2 of my least favorite Cubs players of the last decade (Shark/Soto) Edited January 22, 201511 yr by fathom

January 22, 201511 yr Absolutely love Soto's reaction here when Ozzie's kicks his mask lol http://m.mlb.com/chc/video/topic/8878834/v...sixth/?c_id=chc
January 22, 201511 yr I don't understand why they'd go after him, but a Minor League deal is very low risk. It's worth a shot.
January 22, 201511 yr I love it. No risk at all, has the potential to be our best catcher if he's healthy. If we're not going to pay up to acquire a "real" catcher, throwing a bunch of somewhat intriguing crap at the wall is the next best option. Between Flowers, Soto, Kottaras, and Brantly, we've got a better chance of finding a decent season of performance.

January 22, 201511 yr QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jan 22, 2015 -> 02:18 PM) this is the big soxfest move Ronnie Woo Woo is now sure to attend.

It's worth a shot. maybe this is the reclamation player someone was mentioning yesterday. the 1 project the sox usually sign. usually it is a pitcher, maybe not this yr.

Signing reclamation projects not being counted on to contribute is fine. The past couple seasons, it seemed the Sox were counting on some of these guys to be pretty good.

January 22, 201511 yr Anyone know much about his defensive reputation? It'd seem kinda weird to keep the 2 righties, Soto and Flowers.
January 22, 201511 yr I was at the game his rookie season when he hit 3 HR....I think against the Braves or Phillies. That is all.
January 22, 201511 yr QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 22, 2015 -> 02:55 PM) Ha, they've now acquired 2 of my least favorite Cubs players of the last decade (Shark/Soto) Agreed fathom but I have really turned around on Jeff.
