Royals now leading in 7 lineup spots for All-Star game. Trout, Altuve are the other two leaders.

Both of them are about to be passed by Alex Rios and Omar Infante, respectively.

Cain, Escobar and Gordon are very questionable.

About 2-3 weeks ago, you could have argued for all of those guys, especially Cain because of his WAR.

Perez definitely deserves it. Moustakas, too. Hosmer, you can debate it legitimately....Morales has had a very surprising season and has been a huge addition to their offense in terms of balancing it out. Will surely win the AL Comeback Player of the Year award, following fellow Royals' pitcher Chris Young.

Infante and Rios....those are jokes.

The funny thing is that if Yost has three discretionary picks to cover four teams...there might be a team left off unless the Commissioner's office intervenes.

If this happens, they might as well just take away the whole "homefield advantage" aspect or make it where the fan picks are no more than 50%...or maybe it could be 1/3rd fan vote, 1/3rd managers and/or fellow players, 1/3rd media.

Lance Lynn to the DL for the Cardinals. They've now lost Wainwright and Adams for the season, and they have Holliday, Lynn and Walden out for an extended period of time. Hamels and Howard continues to make a lot of sense for them.

Jesus, that's unreal. Can they afford to trade anyone?

Piscotty's lost a lot of value as a prospect. Reyes, a pitcher in their system, has really blossomed this year. He's easily their best trade chip with Marco Gonzales hurt.

Another crazy NL central injury situation is what's happened to Cincinnati. Last night, they only started 3 (Votto, Frazier and Bruce) of their main 8 offensive players coming into the season. 2 are out of the year, 1 is out for a few months and 2 have nagging injuries. They're going to unload Cueto after the ASB.

And Chapman, who Don Cooper will reconvert into a starter by teaching him the Jason Bere foschball as an offspeed offering.

That was an awesome pitch to watch.

Hire Bud Black!

Interesting that the Pads and Sox, two of the off-season darlings, and both underperforming. Black is gone and as far as I'm concerned, he's a much better manager then Ventura (but I am a big Bud Black fan). All that said, his team was .500 just a day ago.
