I like our chances in this one. Sale will only need 2 or 3, max.

I want .500 and I want it now.

Yes, and I want 5-2 the next seven just as much.

i hope i don't break the streak. i am going my first Sox game of the year tonight. its my first trip to oston ever. Figured may as well see the Sox as my first game at Fenway

This game feels like as close to a guaranteed win as you can get in baseball, we can't afford to blow this.

It's baseball, crazier things have happened.

That's why it worries me.

Anyone remember Contreras pitching against the Pirates in 06? That might have been the biggest guarantee in baseball history and we lost.

Boston has looked like a team that has quit.

Not disagreeing with that but there's absolutely no guarantees in baseball, we can absolutely lose this game even though it's a mismatch on paper.

I do agree with you there. Baseball is a funny game.

I agree with you, and that's why I'm similarly worried about tonight. It seems like every week there's a really lopsided matchup that goes the underdog's way.

I went to a restaurant that serves 'breakfast at any time', so I ordered French toast during the Renaissance.

Which means we'll probably lose.

Make sure you get a good meal outside the stadium as well. Boston has outstanding food.

Steven Wright is pitching for Boston?

Knuckleballer who Swihart couldn't handle last start. Guessing Hanigan will have to start. White Sox should have fun taking extra bases on errant pitches.

In my MLBTS simulation (wearing the black uniforms, obviously), with attributes changed to reflect current hot streaks, the White Sox won 14-1. Sale allowed 5 hits and struck out 11 in a CG, Melky went 4-5 with 3 doubles and 5 RBIs, and Saladino went 2-4 with a HR and a BB. I'd laugh at all this a couple weeks ago, but it's actually a semi-realistic score with this offense.

Will the weather prevent the game from happening?

It looks like it might rain but the scattered type.

Likely that they get it in.

They pretty much have to get it in. We don't go back to Boston and it will be hard to find a date for us to come back. I will go with it will be like the STL game earlier this month

I feel like these "scattered rain" games only happen when Sale is the scheduled starter.
