Cardinals?

Cardinals?

Yes. Which I find hard to believe considering they offered Heyward 200 million.

Cespedes to the Angels. Gordon to the Cardinals. O's resign Parra and Davis. White Sox sign Upton.

+1. Hope you are right.

The Cards did win 100 games, though they had really remarkable luck. They're still a match for the Cubs and probably better than the Pirates with what they have.

The O's won't pony up for Upton, Angelos makes JR look like a spendthrift.

I think its basically Angels, White Sox, Tigers, maybe Rangers, Nationals and maybe the Royals (if they get real crazy) as the OF market competition.

That's good then if Giants are out and Cards won't make a splash.

I really dont see the Rangers spending on OF help. They have Choo and Hamilton out there now, need a spot for Gallo, have Brinson and Mazara in the minors...they just have too much to see them spending on OF.

the cards lost a sp who did very well and heyward. even with heyward, i really like their replacement player. but that missing SP..... really hurts. now the sCrubs did improve alot.

it is not even close now.

Not sure that's entirely true. The O's offered 7/150M to Davis so they have the money and an opening in the outfield to go with the opening at first base left by Davis. I think the O's are very much in on one of the FA outfielders.

They may have offered the money but it got pulled off the table for some reason.

I remember reading that they made a special exception for Davis, because he is Angelos pet favorite or something. Point being, I doubt they offer that money to Upton. Davis or bust for them (or bring back Parra).

I'm guessing Gordon and Buehrle to Cards to replace Heyward and Lackey. Maybe a different SP but I think Upton and Cespedes are left for Angels and Sox. Let's not bid against ourselves now.

I'd be good with Upton or Cespedes. But I know Cespedes wants and will probably get a big payday

O's don't have enough for Parra and Davis, already gave Davis a deadline.

Wouldn't count out the Mets now that Cuddyer retired.

But they have the money and are willing to spend it. I wouldn't count the O's out on any of the FA outfielders.

The Braves want to dump Markakis and might send prospects along with to sweeten the pot or subsidize the remaining $31.5 million due over three years...

Markakis is worse than Avi at this point. No thanks.

That deal never made sense for them. They should have signed Aoki or anyone else instead.

Am I crazy to be getting excited the Sox might do something with Frazier or Upton?
