I'd rather have Upton by far, but I don't like the idea of giving him 6+ years, which is what he's going to get.

I'll take either, but I think the White Sox have a positive history with Cuban players and might have an easier time convincing Cespedes.

Both are a bit overrated as hitters but the QO makes a difference for me.

I prefer a left handed power bat but that would require another trade and I doubt that happens. I can see the pros and cons for both Upton and Cespedes but if I must choose one I'll take Cespedes along with three picks in the first two rounds of June's draft.

Getting Cespedes would rekindle my excitement around the White Sox. Getting Upton would feel like having years added onto a prison sentence.

Upton is 28, Cespedes is 30...they're less than 2 years apart in age.

Out of J Up, Cespedes, Gordon who do you think gets the most $ and years?

 

I think Gordon cost the least and may be the best fit for this team. A LF handed contact hitter who is an elite defender. Id be absolutely floored with any of these guys. So to choose one is hard because I think all three bring different tools, skills, assets, and character we need. Just get me one for Christmasy Rick please.
