The Sox want this out there. What that means, you can make your own interpretation.

 

How I take it is that the Sox interest is for real. Hayes tweets that Sox and Desmond are "in talks" not considering or anything like that, but actually discussing possible contract.

 

If I had to guess, Desmond is on the White Sox by the end of the weekend.

Agree, if the local beat writers are confirming stuff then things are coming to a conclusion.

"In talks with" sounds more like contract talk time than kicking the tires on him IMO. This is getting interesting.

Over the 40 man limit doesn't really matter. There are about 5-6 guys that could clear waivers.

 

LH OFers available off the top of my head: Ethier, Venable, Crawford, and Bradley Jr. I'm sure i'm missing others.
