Hey, Chris: how about you don't get yourself suspended this year at a critical time of the season because you couldn't control your temper?

God, when your best pitcher is this much of a knucklehead it really make it hard to root for him.

Chris Sale - 60 day DL (broken left hand)

  • I lost a lot of respect for Adam Eaton. Going to the media and sharing sensitive details about what went down behind closed doors is bogus.

So Sale is now an idiot for firing on KW, something this board does with regularity when a player acquisition doesn't work out.

Oh come on...he's not our superior

then how did nightengale or something like that get this tidbit??

Talking to him?

To be fair, neither would Adam LaRoche or a players son every day.

Or distractions like the Duck Dynasty guys.

No but he's also not doing anything this board wouldn't be doing if it was a player we liked as much as he apparently like LaRoche.

I just wish this never happened. I'd much rather have a $13m boat anchor on the bench.

If this team doesn't succeed this year, the media/folklore will be blaming this stupid incident for decades.

This is awesome!

The best possible conclusion is that it comes to light that Adam LaRoche asked Kenny Williams to ban Adam LaRoche's son.

So did KW know this would be LaRoche's reaction and do this on his own?

It's REALLY bad when it's hard to feel much sympathy in a debate between your franchise pitcher and Kenny Williams.

It almost feels like...even if there is something written into the contract like the word "access," there will be equally compelling arguments on both side spelling out exactly what that means.

How can you define it? 24/7? During games? On the road? In meetings and on-field drills? Going over draft boards or having access to Hahn's "Big Board," like an internship? His own locker and uniform? 3 days per week? 7 days per week?

One would be stretching the bounds of plausibility to imagine it's something like "only blue and red M&M's in the candy dish" or whatever in a rider like many concert performers have...spelling out EXACTLY the conditions.

It's like going to the dentist. It hurts now, but in a week or so, the Sox will be fine and will theoretically have $13 million to play with.

What a completely stupid point. The difference between somebody on this message board sounding off on KW and a player on the White Sox doing it to the media is wider than the Grand Canyon.

no s***. What a bunch of coddled babies we have on this team. Sale and Eaton are showing their true colors. I'm starting to put a lot more credence in those D-Backs rumors about Eaton. He's a guy that's all happy go lucky when things are going his way but mopes and complains at the first sign of adversity.

The conditions were established by last year's practices.

That's what I'm thinking happens. This sucks so bad right now but when this (hopefully) eventually blows over, all will be fine.

The point being those who rip KW constantly are now ripping Chris Sale because he is ripping KW. It's right on point.

Can the dude from The Killing play Chris Sale when this becomes a movie?

Hey - Any you guys hear the news that Adam LaRoche retired and left $13M on the table?

Is that crazy or what?

Agree. And if we suck over the next year and a half to 2 years and they look to possible rebuilding, Eaton is first one gone.

Chris Sale hasn't even sniffed a playoff appearance with the Sox maybe you'd think he'd be a bit more open to changing some of the clubhouse culture. But no, he's just another one of the Sox that seems to think just because something has been one way for a while it apparently can never change.

These guys really come across as young twentysomethings when in reality both Chris and Eaton are old enough now, in their mid and late 20s, where they should have matured and realized that in the workplace you have to adjust to change.

Come on man, you know that's way off. It's not about KW, it's about whether or not you should publicly denounce your own boss. It's about dissension within a team.

WE've gone back and forth and debated in this thread a lot, but I agree with you here 100%.

You're still creating a profoundly ridiculous equivalency.

I don't know. I can see this being the "excuse" for a disappointing season.

This just in.

Yoenis Cespedes now wants to sign with the White Sox and join the circus-like atmosphere, feels it's the closest thing to the sheer craziness of NYC and White Sox apparently willing to pay him $30 million and also allow him to wear his cap backwards.

Cites the DeAndre Jordan precedent. Also, better parking accommodations for all his various luxury vehicles at USCF.

Threads merged for the biggest in SoxTalk history.
