Going forward, I'm good with expanded playoffs, but maybe not 16 teams. 6 in each league would be fine with me (top 2 teams gets a bye the first round?). Especially with baseball likely expanding to 32 teams soon.

I agree with this. If Madrigal is back, play Mendick at 3B in Pittsburgh and give him 4 days off.

I've been saying this to my friends last couple days. I wouldn't be upset if we started seeing Engel in there more since defense would be improved and he would be hitting 8 or 9 (depending on where you want Madrigal in the lineup, but probably Engel 9th with Mendick in lineup).

Exactly. As a kid, no one ever used it by its meaning. And likely started because you just a heard another kid use it without knowing the meaning. But you learn and grow up.

They have 2 off days next week so they sort of don't need a 5th starter for a while. Weird that it wouldn't go to a bullpen piece instead of bench spot though.

2022 might be fair. He would probably start in what, A-ball next season? I think he would have to mash at every level to get called up.

Not sure I buy that as Dunning didn't pitch last year and there hasn't really been game action for Collins to catch Dunning (besides spring training and summer camp if they even worked together).

Hopefully Dunning can hold down a spot and Lopez replaces Gonzalez.
