I'm about 2 hours behind but I just got done watching the ceremony and I'm flat out speechless. I've had so many tears over the last hour. Plus the appreciation video he made a few days ago gets me every time and I've watched it close to a dozen times already.

Brian Anderson looks like he should get into acting. What a look haha.

Do they have video of the full ceremony?

If the Royals were the Sox, would u be incensed at their behavior in celebrating the mere wildcard? KC had a real chance to tie Detroit tonight. I personally think they were dumb in celebrating so hard last night. I tell you there's a big difference in winning the division and playing in the suicidal wildcard game.

I'd hope if the Sox are ever in that position again they pop a little bit of bubbly but tone down the celebrations IF the divisional title is still in balance. Stupid KC falling short tonight against our abysmal Sox.

29 years without the playoffs, let them celebrate making the playoffs. If you are making them more regularly, maybe then tone it down.

I agree with this. I'll be 29 in November so I've never been alive for a Royals playoff appearance. It's been so long and they've had a great year overall so I'm ok with the celebration, but at first I thought the same thing about celebrating a Wild Card birth. Honestly I want KC to win the division so I'm hoping for a White Sox loss and a Twins win tomorrow. (Wow I can't believe I said that.)

Wow. I just watched the whole pregame ceremony. Amazing amazing amazing.

Paulie was class. Sox front office was class. Fans were class. Royals were class. This night will go down in Sox history as one of the greatest nights ever.

Paul Konerko is a Sox and Chicago legend.

That speech by Paulie was amazing. He was so composed. It looked like the Royals were enjoying the ceremony as well as it was such a cool ceremony. It's special when one player plays in a city for so long. Paulie said it a few times ... he could have gone elsewhere. He elected to stay and one of the big benefits is a night like tonight. WOW it was a great speech and great videos.

Was at the game tonight, I thought it was awesome to see the place packed to honor Konerko. Did they ever say on the broadcast why Frank had no involvement at all?

That's a great point. He wasn't on the video and Ozzie was.

Just got back from the game. Tonight's crowd was so electric. It was so good to see that to honor Konerko. When Abreu hit that first inning HR, the place erupted and I had goosebumps. I hope we can get more of that in the upcoming years.

Like others have said, the PK ceremony was simply amazing.
