Any details?

His pick to click was for all the police in Baltimore who were put in a tough situation to watch businesses burn, etc.....went on to mention how disturbing it was to watch TV, seemingly trying to get some dialogue going with Stone, and it was just silence as Stone obviously wanted nothing to do with it.

Just really thankful at this point that the Sox didn't sign Jeff to an extension. His stuff has sucked in 3 of his starts, and that's scary as usually he comes out of the gates crisp

That 1st inning had nothing to do with the Shark, it was Abreu's bad throw that resulting in the runs and a bad situation

So we can still likely get a comp pick for Jeff right?

Only if we make a qualifying offer and he rejects it.

Why would the Sox make the offer, and if made, why would he not accept it, given his performance so far this season.

With men on base you have to, otherwise you walk runners. Abreu's throw put him in the situation to half to throw strikes and that's when good hitting teams take advantage. If nobody was on like that second at bats he can pitch to his game and get outs. Bottomline, if Abreu makes that play or even gets 1 out their they don't score.

A qualifying offer is only a one year guaranteed deal, and he would have to be really, really bad over the entire season to get to the point where he'd take a one year deal.

Funny, with nobody on, he walked De Aza. That inning, he was awful. 6 hits allowed. If he can't pitch with men on base, he isn't going to be any good. $100 million pitchers pitch over errors.

No you don't have to throw meatballs because there are runners on base. When has that ever been the case?

Yes, if Abreu makes the play they likely don't score but that didn't cause Jeff to throw meatballs to nearly their who lineup
