I am a believer. Hi guys. First time I've been able to log on since six weeks or so I think. My cookies don't work or whatever. Before it doesn't work again for me ... my early impressions of course are very favorable. I realize I have hated our rebuilds but I have to give credit where it is due. Getz may be the answer. I still haven't returned to mlb.com but I watch the highlights and we have definitely got some 'amazing' lift and pull guys in Muni, Colson and Vargas. I personally am a fan of Antonnucci (sp?). And I've always liked Meidroth and I've never been a Beni hater. I also like the Savannah Bananas guy. In other words, with three power hitters minimum (I like our catchers too, way to bomb it Quero) I think we can stay in the Central race all year. That's because with pitchers only going 3-4 innings max I think we have enough bodies to do enough on a given night for us to win. I don't know enuf about our pitchers still. Our closer seems good. Martin has a 1.61 ERA. I'll learn more about them as the summer progresses. Since this may be the only chance for me to post since my computer hasn't been able to connect, let me say I'm hopeful the rebuilding is over. I'm starting to think Getz may be outstanding. Muri is the find of the decade. The Cub series was awesome and exciting. I am thinking from listening to highights our play by play guy still is annoying. If anybody has suggestions for me to be able to log on let me know. It's hard going cold turkey on the site, but there's some guy on X who posts a lot about the Sox and a couple facebook guys do it so I've been able to get my fix so to speak a little bit. If you missed greg, thanks. If you hate greg, that's your prerogative. GO SOX. GO GETZ. The rebuilding may be finished tra la tra la.

Holy cow. Why play so many tough games? Will we even make the playoffs? Looks to me like like every game except DePaul and Notre Dame are tossups at best. ... Congrats to Marist for somehow beating Benet for the state basketball title. Held Benet's offense to nothing. Marist must have a heckuva coach in bball. Do they have any college prospects? I think Benet has one or two. Benet barely beat the Kleinschmidt's in the semis then again failed to score many pts vs Marist.

Sincere congratulations to your son. Tell him we Rice grads are so happy we got a coveted state title thanks in large part to the linemen. How far a drive is Norbert's from your house? Will u drive to many games? Keep us posted on his progress. Is Norbert's known for good football?

Is Wolf Lake nice? I see it's only 20-30 miles from downtown Chicago? No big deal to drive there. That said ... do u guys think this is really a possibility? Or are the Bears just using their neighbors for leverage only to stay in Illinois? Pritzger made it sound like they are close to a deal with the Bears. Weird that the Bears would put out some news singing Indy's praises a day after a positive meeting with Pritzger's team. He said it was 3 hour meeting and they are close to a deal. So what's gonna happen? I say 80-20 Bears build a new stadium in Illinois.

Thrilling comeback victory for USA women's hockey. Pulling the goalie worked! Then the OT goal. That's dramatic stuff of legends. Was mesmerized by the great women's figure skating victory. Alysa Liu was perfect in her routine. Not one mistake. Great comeback story. The Olympics still works for me as long as the athletes don't get up on the podium and bash America. I totally buy into the stories of hard work and am a sucker for the athletes' reactions on the podium when they are full of joy not political angst. GO USA! Women's hockey and Liu! Heroes in my eyes.

I need to watch this in its entireity. I almost forgot we had to beat Rita a second time to take the title. We usually play somebody like Lincoln Way in big games.

That'd be a bill of about 20,000 I'd suspect. I'm sure they want to give rings to the freshmen, sophs, varsity players and coaches and also the longtime PA guy and others. They shoulda just done a gofundme. I think most Rice grads would give at least 500 to 1000. What a nice guy to do that for the kids/coaches.

Caulfield u have lived overseas a long time. Has your Chicago accent left you completely? Is your voice all different? Are you a lot healthier cause of the food over there not being as infested with chems and junk?

I've been optimistic til this. BTW it shouldn't be called a rebuild. If so it'd be a rebuild of an unsuccessful rebuild. The last rebuild didn't end.

Didn't most teams in all sports demand players get the shot(s)? I remember a lot of places were firing people for not getting the shot. I'll stop here before issuing an opinion that might get me in trouble on here.
