  1. Past hour

  2. If the Tigers can sign a guy, the White Sox definitely can. That isn’t that much money.
  3. Yeah, by far the best one in MLB.
  4. f*** yeah. They're so much better than the new ones I forgot how much I loved those.
  5. Interesting exchange. So, it was Jerry that didn't want it, but at the same time the location wasn't going to turn this area into another Wrigleyville even if they did. They did open the ChiSox Bar and Grill. It seems fine, but doesn't seem to be a massive draw either. Also interesting point about all the parking lots that are to the south of the stadium. They border a church, a school, and CHA housing (plus a senior housing high-rise). That doesn't sound like prime "stadium district" land to me.
  6. I don't know - that's an awful lot of runs to use up for just one win. They need to be reasonable
  7. WE DID IT! KEEP EM ROLLIN WITH MORE W'S
  8. No, because I was at a wedding in Ireland lol I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the score later.
  9. The ISFA owns Rate Field as well as the parking lots used for games, so any development would require a coordination effort between Reinsdorf and the ISFA. The excerpt from DoUEvenShift’s post shows that Reinsdorf (and by extension the ISFA) didn’t care to develop the area.
  10. Haha, I literally just updated my post to include this.
  11. With Jerry as owner?
  12. Remember that Friday night game in June when the offense exploded for 22 runs against KC? I think they should do that again tonight.
  13. Framber was not really a realistic target for the Sox. 3-years and $115 million? Maybe with a new owner.
  14. Took 2 out of 3 and they have a better September record than the Sox. I can see the A's taking 2 out of 3 against CLE.
  15. Coming this weekend, The Chicago Dirty Canal Swim!
  16. Doesn't Jerry own a majority of the land around the Rate. IF so I ma sure developing it was the better option than leaving it as seldom used parking space. If I were to guess it was Bridgeport that pushed back on building up and now they will get a train yard for their effort.
  17. I would say everyone but Taylor should be available but i prefer we stay away from Newcomb, and Hagen and get them an extra day of rest
  18. Didn't they sweep the Jays recently?
  19. Got it. Chase SS Ant 2B (probably not a popular opinion but we just had Pham here yesterday, I think we can survive with his .340 OBP against lefties here. Also, wanted to break up the glut of lefties I would have had at the bottom) Vargas 3B Grichuk LF Mune 1B Pham DH (wanted to put him 5th, but trying to break up the lefties) Peters RF Doyle CF Teel (has been drawing a lot of walks lately despite not really hitting so put him here to flip lineup over) Just put up a bunch of runs early and let's just worry about defense the last half of the game
  20. Framber or Ranger were the two I liked. And realistic targets. Framber hasn't had a phenomenal season but he would've been a major steadying force for this shaky rotation. Then you had guys like Nick Martinez, the two you mention, a couple others. There are some decent guys in this next class -- and really good ones who the Sox won't sign -- but last year to me was a much more competitive class of SP.
  21. They really need Sandlin to pitch deep into this game. Or for the offense to explode. I’m assuming most, if not all the high leverage guys won’t be available tonight.
  22. Forecast looks like there will be no game tomorrow
  23. Today

  24. Maybe they need some more retirement ceremonies for players of that era. Someone contact Grandal! Is Moncada retired yet? /s
  25. Interesting. I would rather have a rainout at home then on the road.
  26. It would be nice if Boston had a shot at home field advantage for their wildcard series. But that seems really unlikely.
  27. And the opposite. I've seen some pretty good pitchers get pounded by mediocre offenses.
