I think he will go for less than what people have said, but still much more than I'd be willing to give lol.

What is your trade deadline prediction?
Because of one year? One injury being pretty "freak"?

Eh, rentals won’t

Adding two legit starters would be pricey.

Not sure I want a guy who gets hit so hard it sounds like the fake ESPN contact sound.

If they are actually relying on Jose Urquidy to provide meaningful innings, then they are toast.

7/29 Games
I’m calling a Carlson home run today.

Definitely would rather have Detmers over Holmes due to age and years of control, but it all comes down to the cost. I do think Urquidy is the second starter already, and they try to obtain a catcher.

7/28 Games
This is all fair, but i disagree on the talent part. I've never really liked any of the Sox guys but Schultz. The Sox have given Bannister a bunch of guys who can't consistently find the zone and told him to help them find the zone. That's a really tall task and a recipe for disaster.

Maybe Soxtalk will be wrong again on the value of a player. We’ve made trades the past 3-4 years where we ended up being underwhelmed due to us overvaluing guys. Or having different targets than ultimately received. Maybe we’ll be wrong on Detmers too.

Schultz to the bullpen as he nears his innings limit?
Pump the brakes on Schultz failed or the Sox failed Schultz. It's a little early to come to conclusions on a prized pitching talent, all of 22 years old, making his rookie debut.

That's the whole equation.

Mike Vasil "The Wizard"
That's a funny bit but a missed opportunity for Getz to say that the league is cracking down on the use of arcane instruments in dugouts. Also, I'm having a premonition that 15,000 of these wands are going to end up on the field of play.

Five days or less until Detmers is a White Sox. Just a prediction, but I am very confident it happens. Soxtalk won’t be a fun place afterwards if it does…lol.

Mike Vasil "The Wizard"
It is ironic that you went and posted these two posts within 5 minutes of each other. Did YOU ask the players how they feel about Mike Vasil? Did YOU ask the Coaches what they think of Vasil being in the dugout? Maybe ask them and then back up your outsided opinions with facts. That's how that works, right?

- Schultz to the bullpen as he nears his innings limit?
Plenty of facts…maybe try reading this Noah Schultz is working on his slider, and embracing chal...Noah Schultz has a 6.04 ERA heading into tonight’s game against Max Fried and the Yankees, which will take place exactly a week ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline, as the first place White Sox hunt st- Mike Vasil "The Wizard"
The dugout antics by Vasil are just a distraction, especially during a losing streak. Vasil shouldn't even be in the dugout.- Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Clay Holmes would be a welcome addition.- Schultz to the bullpen as he nears his innings limit?
Very plainly he was rushed to the majors as a starter. That is what is obvious.- White Sox acquired RHPs Jordan Hicks and David Sandlin from BOS
The Sox seem to have got Hicks back on track and his value is right where he is, throwing GAS in the pen. I am hoping they get Seranthony squared away so he could be used in non-blow out games.- Schultz to the bullpen as he nears his innings limit?
The organization has failed him? That is a rather provocative statement. Do you think Noah's father feels that way? Maybe ask Mr. Schultz to start with and then back up your outsized opinion with facts. Blaming an organization for failing in "player development" just points fingers in every direction other than at the player. Schultz has been given every opportunity. It is obvious that Noah has not been able to sustain control of his pitches or endurance beyond a few innings. What do you suggest the White Sox do with Schultz now? Develop him more in the Minors, use him as a starter or in the bullpen?- Mike Vasil "The Wizard"
Called it - thanks BrooksToday
