  1. Past hour
  2. So pumped to see how Thorpe does. I’m higher on him than most.
  3. To be fair, Fuller deserves a ton of credit for Mead’s season. Last year they sent him away with a clear plan: stop being a tweener. Bulk up and look to hit for damage. They gave him swing fixes to achieve that. Mead was blocked, out of options, and played in the WBC so the Sox didn’t get a full look at the results of those changes. Also, Boston Smith is not a terrible outcome.
  4. They had a neutral run differential, so all you really had to do is add a proven arm like Seranthony Dominguez to close out the close games and you're a .500 team!
  5. I find it very unlikely that we end up seeing both Pereira and Hays on the active roster unless somebody gets hurt. You're probably going to see Hays get a very long rehab stint that culminates with him being released if that's what it comes down to.
  6. Today
  7. If they get second half Shane Smith from last year, they don’t need Singer or Detmers. Personally, I love Detmers, but not at the cost of two really high first rounders.
  8. Great minds think alike.
  9. If a tree falls on an uninhabited island and there’s no one around, does it matter what time it fell?
  10. Sox only have one team. Some other teams split into two teams, which will water down the talent level of each of the two teams. Since the Sox only have one team, it’s not watered down at all, which is why you expect their record to be much better.
  11. Currently the Sox have one team in the DSL. They will have two after they open their new facility. Many orgs already have two DSL teams. @southsider2k5 expressed surprise that despite NOT splitting their talent, the Sox still have such a terrible record in the DSL.
  12. Webb has 2 more years of control after this season. I don't know if SF is interested in trading, but they could demand a haul.
  13. Timmy U replied to BamaDoc's topic in FutureSox Board
Sox don’t have a lot of pitching depth right now, but those are two guys who could help out in the second half. Especially Smith. Need them to shove tonight.

  15. The Sox might be able to flip one of the two, Baltimore just traded for a backup OF with KC. I agree that Grichuk is safe but Perez most likely get sent down.
  16. Wow Sox not wasting any time, great to see.
  17. Webb or Wacha. If attainable.
  18. Win today. Take the series and just keep pushing. BTW who are these guys wearing Sox uniforms?
  19. I liked “Stick” a lot. Owen Wilson and Judy Greer played those roles very well with a very sad story between them. Maron just being his grumpy self was funny too
  20. Great way to start the second half, now it’s time to start breaking away from the field and build a nice lead in the standings.
  21. Is this serious? The Bears showed up all season last year on prime time lol
  22. Seranthony is a drag on the pitching staff and a sunken cost. Maybe his roster spot could be filled by Tanner McDougal or another guy from the Minors. I know JR, like any front office Chair, does not like the team paying millions to players who fail to perform, but oh well Jerry, Dominguez needs to go. Enough with Venable's attempt to slowly nurse him back on the fly. He lacks control, plain and simple. In John Schriffen's voice - "Get out!"
  23. Blue Jays have a decent rotation, but a subpar bullpen that frustrated John Schneider. Perhaps the Sox can rough them up again.
  24. Both of those guys should be very cheap. Singer has pitched better recently and his stats are weighed down heavily by a bad stretch he had in May after he got hit by a line drive. I'm not sure why we'd need another right handed outfielder since we've probably got 1 too many when everyone gets healthy.
  25. I’m confused, the Sox have 2 teams?
