  2. Sadly that's all you missed.
  3. I missed alot when work got busy. That rumored package for Peralta was icky. Mainly because of Boston being included.
  4. Even the Birmingham gun had him hitting 92 in his last inning, which is something he only did a handful of times in the bigs pre-injury.
  5. Thorpe is so fascinating. The changeup is nasty, but still sitting 90 to 91 on the Birmingham gun last night. Enamored and terrified to get another sampling in the Bigs.
  6. God that was horrible.
  7. Here’s your hi8is tinfoil hat post: The White Sox aren’t interested in Peralta but rather are being used to try drumming up interest from other teams in him. Our actual targets from the Mets MLB roster that we are scouting are likely in their bullpen and behind the dish.
  8. But did he give up a homer to Bartolo Colon?
  9. It’s pretty simple. The 15 games we lost by a run would have likely been impacted at least half the time if they wouldn’t have stranded RISP so much. So I’m not looking at winning percentages or history - I’m looking at the probability that the one run games they lost. It is by no means a stretch to say that they would have won a lot of those games if their situational execution was vastly improved.
  10. I don't think it tracks anything over 107 mph.
  11. Moving on up Will be fun to get some Statcast data on him
  12. Shades of James Shields' last start as a Padre
  13. He's not hurt. His swing speed is the same as it it's been and the play he made in the 10th isn't made with a bad back. He's just an extremely pull happy power hitter that to this point in his career has not been able to adjust to the adjustments. His true talent is probably like 3 WAR. He was playing like a 6 WAR superstar for 50 games, things happen. Hell just two weeks ago it looked like Chase Meidroth was gonna finish around 1.5 fWAR, now he's cruising towards 3+. Players rise and fall. Right now Colson is falling, but it's not forever.
  14. Might be time to bump that Fire Getz thread again.
  15. That would explain the errors I think.
  16. To be frank, I am more worried that Colson is hurt than I am anything else.
  17. Apparently Chris Getz doesn't agree with you.
  18. You’re projecting them to have a .777 winning percentage in one-run games. That would be the best winning percentage in the history of the game (Rangers 36-11 in 2016). The Sox have also scored the most runs in the AL. They’re doing something right!
  19. A troubling stat is that Colson has never hit over.250 in any season above A ball going on 6 years! Will so much SS talent in the system, his Sox (&MLB) future could be short-lived if he can't figure out how to hit in professional baseball. His swing has become so reckless and he is completely lost at the plate.
  20. Dude, you need to learn that not everyone has the same opinions as you. If somebody calling the White Sox mediocre triggers you that much look in the mirror, because I'm not pressed about it.
  21. He also said "I'm used to being mediocre because I'm a Sox fan" or some s%*# and got really upset that people thought the Sox had a decent enough June. He is the king of "lighten up."
  22. Mets doing Mets s%*#. I don't really want this guy unless it's for someone of no real consequence and we eat some salary.
